Two years ago today was the last time anyone would have the honor of seeing & hearing the magnificent voice of Carlos Marin in person. He is ill in this video & it is still very difficult to watch. He gave all of himself to his music. Forever loved. Forever missed. Irreplaceable. ❤️🎼💔🎶

I can’t believe 3 days later he was in a hospital incubated. It just doesn’t seem real. How can u go from singing like that to being gone. No one knew this would be his last time performing. Breaks my heart. He was my favorite.

Yes, you can see he is not that well in this video. It seemed more apparent when he was not singing. But when he sang it was like always. Amazing!!! He didn´t want to disappoint anyone. He was a true artist and a true gentleman. So sad to have lost someone so great, just too soon. Rest in peace, dear Carlos.
Y no me lo puedo explicar aún, era COVID y olvidemos que Carlitos trataba de ser profesional y aguantar, pero la otra cara de la moneda era que al esforzarse así también estaba arriesgando a todos a su al rededor, posiblemente él no se imaginaba que tenía COVID y por eso al descuidarse los síntomas avanzaron y en virus atacó más fuertemente, muchas teorías dan vueltas en mi cabeza, es inexplicable e increíble, sigo sin creer que esto sucedió.
it breaks my heart that he tested positive to Covid19 the following day after this... and the die was cast. :( I watched this performance over and over wondering if he was showing any signs of discomfort.. of illness, but, sadly nobody can tell what he was feeling on this night - his last performance. All I know is that I cannot stop weeping, when I see him for the loss of such an incredible man, and incredible talent, with a voice that I don't believe we will ever see the likes of again.. Such a terrible loss. He was the backbone of Ildivo. One of the most extraordinarily beautiful voices with an incredible range, control and an enormous lung capacity. So much power yet, when he sung softly, it melted your bones. I find it unbelievable to accept that he was in hospital with Covid breathing difficulties after this performance the night before! My deepest condolences to his family and to Seb, David and Urs. The music world has lost an exceptional talent and such a lovely charismatic man. So dreadfully sad but, I'm really grateful to you for posting this. 💔

A lovely tribute to the wonderful Carlos Marin. Yes, it is hard to believe, but I believe he was unwell for a good few days before being taken to hospital. I had covid in March 2020 and at that time, it was a new virus and even the doctor could not tell us much. I was diagnosed with Covid at the end of March but I had symptoms from around the 18th of March ( which I now know) that remained in my system and flared up again at the end of April when I had a persistent cough for around 2 hours, then I was as right as rain. Two days later I was fighting to get air in my lungs. I was very fortunate that even though my oxygen levels dropped into the eighties, they did go up again. Carlos's oxygen levels must have fallen dangerously low and the Covid damaged his entire lungs and then the rest of his organs would have failed. The same thing happened to a friend. Also, it has now been revealed Carlos had Covid in Dec 2019 and so to catch it again makes you wonder whether there was some underlying health issue or maybe something in his genetic makeup that made him so vulnerable. Lovely man, full of charm and charisma with the most wonderful voice. What a sad loss for his loved ones and friends.

Se les ve triste pero nadie esperaba que este fuera el último concierto de los cuatro juntos. Carlos, se encontraría mal , como muchas veces mos encontramos mal, un día, dos, o se nos pasa o vamos al médico. Jamás pensarían, ( ninguno de los cuatro DIVOS) que la vida de Carlos, se estaba apagando X culpa del coronavirus y tan rápido ,joven, sano, buenos pulmones ( de lo contrario no podría cantar) ahora hay más conocimientos, hay más medios... que ha pasado?
Es una verdadera lástima haber perdido una voz tan maravillosa cómo la de él. Se veía cansado, ya no tenía esa sonrisa qué lo caracterizaba, sí tan solo hubieran cancelado las presentaciones y hubiera acudido al hospital a tiempo, tal vez se habría salvado. Sin embargo Dios lo quería tener en su coro privilegiado de ángeles y por eso voló con Él. Descansa en paz Carlos Marín. Nunca se te olvidará.
Si dicen q solo le funcionaban al 45% los pulmones, como.podia estar cantando con esa potencia, era sobrehumano, o pensaban q el espectáculo tiene q continuar??? Se ve a sebastien mirándole varias veces, pero el siempre dijo q se asombrabacada vez q oía a Carlos cantar, pero esta vez ninguno sonreia Era de preocupación, se le veía mal, siempre diré q fuera de lo q pasará después, David y Sebastien sintieron de verdad la muerte de Carlos...de Urs no opino lo mismo( después de las palabras q dijo) siempre pensé q era muy frío, pero nunca q hablara así de un " hermano" solo unos meses después de fallecido..Una pena.
Solo de ver que esto fue dos días antes de caer enfermo se me parte el alma y no puedo por menos que llorar de la tristeza yo le voy a echar muchísimo de menos porque me encantaba soy fan incondicional de Il Divo y sobre todo de Carlos Marín tengo una tristeza terrible y un vacío que no entiendo como con esa potencia de voz dos días después estuviera tan grave hasta el punto de perder su vida para mí ha sido una gran perdida y para todos sus seguidores pero sobre todo para sus seres queridos y para el mismo con las ilusiones que tenía y los proyectos que tenía dichos en otro reportaje que yo he visto e incluso quería ser papá lo siento en el corazón como si fuera alguien de mi familia llevo un montón de días y me parece mentira que le haya pasado esto a una persona tan vital y que se cuidaba muchísimo en la salud qué paz descanse Carlos Marín tus seguidores no te vamos a olvidar persona y como artista tuve la gran suerte de verle en dos ocasiones en directo y por eso me aficioné a en vivo porque era impresionante se te ponía los pelos de punta y oírlos cantar y a él los miserables y en las zarzuelas era lo más de lo más increíble nació con un gran don y ha fallecido demasiado pronto

Estaba tomando cortisona porque tenía dolores y respiraba mal. Y así y todo ahí estaba....Fue en cano tu sacrificio . Te fuiste TÚ y todavía uno tiene la "cara" de decir q eras difícil para convivir...tenías q haberles dejado en la estacada y q cantaran los tres.

Original Il Divo has made its place in music history already. Sadness for his lovely mother as Carlos never had the chance to find a truly lovely woman and family to make his life complete. But we all have his music-his music forever. 💔

Thank you so much for sharing this. I saw Il Divo in concert a couple of times through the 2000s and they were such a class act, so talented with such charisma and chemistry. This is tragic yet at the same time, wonderful that Carlos was able to do what he loved, right to the very end of his life. Such a terrible loss. He was the backbone of Ildivo. One of the most extraordinarily beautiful voices with an incredible range, control and an enormous lung capacity. So much power yet, when he sung softly, it melted your bones. I find it unbelievable to accept that he was in hospital with Covid breathing difficulties after this performance the night before! My deepest condolences to his family and to Seb, David and Urs. The music world has lost an exceptional talent and such a lovely charismatic man. So dreadfully sad but, I'm really grateful to you for posting this. 💔

A lovely tribute to the wonderful Carlos Marin. Yes, it is hard to believe, but I believe he was unwell for a good few days before being taken to hospital. I had covid in March 2020 and at that time, it was a new virus and even the doctor could not tell us much. I was diagnosed with Covid at the end of March but I had symptoms from around the 18th of March ( which I now know) that remained in my system and flared up again at the end of April when I had a persistent cough for around 2 hours, then I was as right as rain. Two days later I was fighting to get air in my lungs. I was very fortunate that even though my oxygen levels dropped into the eighties, they did go up again. Carlos's oxygen levels must have fallen dangerously low and the Covid damaged his entire lungs and then the rest of his organs would have failed. The same thing happened to a friend. Also, it has now been revealed Carlos had Covid in Dec 2019 and so to catch it again makes you wonder whether there was some underlying health issue or maybe something in his genetic makeup that made him so vulnerable. Lovely man, full of charm and charisma with the most wonderful voice. What a sad loss for his loved ones and friends.

Es una verdadera lástima haber perdido una voz tan maravillosa cómo la de él. Se veía cansado, ya no tenía esa sonrisa qué lo caracterizaba, sí tan solo hubieran cancelado las presentaciones y hubiera acudido al hospital a tiempo, tal vez se habría salvado. Sin embargo Dios lo quería tener en su coro privilegiado de ángeles y por eso voló con Él. Descansa en paz Carlos Marín. Nunca se te olvidará.

Era de preocupación, se le veía mal, siempre diré q fuera de lo q pasará después, David y Sebastien sintieron de verdad la muerte de Carlos...de Urs no opino lo mismo( después de las palabras q dijo) siempre pensé q era muy frío, pero nunca q hablara así de un " hermano" solo unos meses después de fallecido..Una pena.

Solo de ver que esto fue dos días antes de caer enfermo se me parte el alma y no puedo por menos que llorar de la tristeza yo le voy a echar muchísimo de menos porque me encantaba soy fan incondicional de Il Divo y sobre todo de Carlos Marín tengo una tristeza terrible y un vacío que no entiendo como con esa potencia de voz dos días después estuviera tan grave hasta el punto de perder su vida para mí ha sido una gran perdida y para todos sus seguidores pero sobre todo para sus seres queridos y para el mismo con las ilusiones que tenía y los proyectos que tenía dichos en otro reportaje que yo he visto e incluso quería ser papá lo siento en el corazón como si fuera alguien de mi familia llevo un montón de días y me parece mentira que le haya pasado esto a una persona tan vital y que se cuidaba muchísimo en la salud qué paz descanse Carlos Marín tus seguidores no te vamos a olvidar persona y como artista tuve la gran suerte de verle en dos ocasiones en directo y por eso me aficioné a en vivo porque era impresionante se te ponía los pelos de punta y oírlos cantar y a él los miserables y en las zarzuelas era lo más de lo más increíble nació con un gran don y ha fallecido demasiado pronto

Original Il Divo has made its place in music history already. Sadness for his lovely mother as Carlos never had the chance to find a truly lovely woman and family to make his life complete. But we all have his music-his music forever. 💔

This is tragic yet at the same time, wonderful that Carlos was able to do what he loved, right to the very end of his life.
