    Thank you so much for sharing this. I didn't know you could create custom strokes.
    To do lines I used to make paragraphs with lines. But it didn't work for dotted pages because the dots were too close.
    Thank you very much.

      @@travelingdesigner Thank you for your answer. I wasn't clear, I am sorry. The distance between one dot and the next horizontally is quickly set with the dialog box (pattern), but then how do you ensure that the distance between the dots vertically are the same 5mm?

    • @travelingdesigner
      @travelingdesigner  2 месяца назад +1

      Oh ok. Well, there are some tricks for that. One is using Grids and Guides. You can also use the Align Panel as well as the Object & Layout Panel. Not as direct as creating the dots from the stroke panel though. :(

      Hi Teca! :) Thanks a bunch! As for your question, you can try aligning them by selecting both of the tables (your lines) then go to Window>OBjects & Layouts> Align. Use the ones that would give you the alignment that you need. I hope I understand your question correctly. Too bad we can't attach anything on this comment section. :) I could help you better if I see your work. :) Let me know if it works or if I misunderstood your question. :)

      Taking advantage of your knowledge in graphic design softwares 😅, could you help me clarify this doubt... what color mode do you use for your low content books? RGB or CMYK?
      I understand that the standard for printing is CMYK of course, but the first book I published was done in Canva and when I uploaded it to Amazon the cover looked pale and washed out, now I am designing my books in Publisher and I want to avoid this situation by working from the beginning with CMYK
      What parameters do you use with your books?
      THANK YOU 😃

    • @travelingdesigner

      As much as possible, use CMYK. Canva is an online tool and it uses RGB but there are tools to convert rgb to cmyk. :)

    Hi Jet Sy,
    You're vlog is amazing I came across your channel by accident but so happy that I did you are an absolute genius, that is one of the things I have been trying to do in indesign since my subscription to there design software packages, which cost me a fortuneeach month, the other thing that I have been trying to do but sadly losing the battle with is once you have actually drawn your lines in, indesign can you then actually type on the line without actually losing the bottom half of your text, I have been trying for two days solid now three hours each time but sadly to no avail, {- I Failed to succeed -}, do you know if it is actually possible as I have asked various people online but no replies if you could show or me in one of your tutorials it would be truly very much appreciated, as you can see I am now a Subscriber to your RUclips Channel.

    • @travelingdesigner
      @travelingdesigner  3 года назад

      Thank you for the sub!! :) Lines and texts are two different elements. If you are trying to put a text on top of a line, you can do so. They won't affect each other. Just make sure of the spacing between them. I hope I understand you correctly. :)
