    Hi. I am looking for a printer that will print custom interior pages in greyscale, cream 100gsm paper and have it Smyth-sewn binding style. Do you offer this option?

      Hey @moonbee03! Thank you for tuning in! You can print in greyscale on cream paper with Lulu! Here's a list of our available binding types and paper weights: www.lulu.com/products

    I cant figure out how to use the preformatted book cover or interior design...so if we don't have or pay for adobe we are unable to create the design? I have tried to pull it up through word and that's not working, I have tried to download apps to open the files and that's not working. Please help. Thanks!

    • @luludotcom
      @luludotcom  3 дня назад

      Hi @tayniaa.mosley3528! Thank you for tuning in! When you download interior files, make sure you are opening the version labeled "word", rather than the InDesign spreads. For the cover, be sure to use the PDF or PNG files rather than the Adobe or InDesign version. Let us know if you have any other questions on this and we will be happy to help!

    Why don't I get the option to publish coil binding? Is there any requirements or file sizes to get the option available?
    Thanks upfront.

    • @luludotcom
      @luludotcom  4 года назад

      Hello! Coil binding isn't retail eligible, so please check on the "Start" step to make sure Global Distribution isn't selected. If it is, you will not be given the option to use coil binding. We hope this information helped! Have a great day.

    Should we use the blank notebook file as a template to create a book with content?
    Do you consider a "page" just one side of the paper or the entire sheet?
    Do we need to add blank sheets to represent a blank page back?
    Is the coated paper suitable for writing and coloring?
    Why does your paper look off-white in youtube unboxings?
    Do we need to leave a gutter for the coil?
    Should black and white images be in grey scale?

      The article actually doesn't answer all of her questions. You guys have really poor customer service on these videos. It would save so much time and make the comment section a good source of information if you could just answer the questions. Still don't know if we need to add blank sheets to represent a blank page back? Why does your paper look off-white in youtube unboxings? Do you consider a "page" just one side of the paper or the entire sheet?

    Question, is the #80 premium white coated paper suitable for notebooks?

    • @luludotcom
      @luludotcom  2 года назад

      Hi Yoni! Thank you for tuning in! I would recommend using uncoated paper if you're planning to write in the notebooks. Coated paper is great for photo books, cookbooks or art books, but for notebooks and journals it may not be ideal as pens and markers can smudge.

    • @luludotcom

      Hello! If you are talking about graphic design on the paper, you are more than welcome to do that. The pages will be printed with the design on them in ink, however it won't be embedded into the paper. We hope this information is helpful. Have a good day.

    Lulu team, pls help me out. Design my interior in InDesign, from beginning to end. I design the cover also in InDesign, I am creating a journal. I wanted coil bound.
    Your system tells me the pictures are less than 200, and I know it is greater than 400pixels.
    most importantly, it is not allowing me to choose my binding, the only option I was allowed is paperback. I want a coil bound, pages are 100 and trim size is 7 by 10.
    pls advice.
    Thanks in advance
    pls, don't take so long.

    Lulu should go the extra mile and include each spine you offer vs leaving too much room for error, letting the customer adjust each of your spine options, ie: spiral bound, paper, hard cover, etc.
