- We spent the week in Ajo, Arizona to get a few projects done on the RV prior to making our trip down to Mexico. We are not RV repair techs, but we like to get our hands dirty every now and then. Follow along our journey as we prepare to take everything we own down to Mexico!
Pro tip: TPMS sensors should be installed on brass or stainless steel valve stems. Some say you can install them on a rubber valve stem (although it will wear out quicker) but they typically at least recommend a metal valve stem. Some specifically state that you cannot install them on a rubber valve stem. A rubber valve stem is not designed to withstand all that centrifugal force with the added weight at the end.
Snap pads are awesome. Could probably just scour the roads in Louisiana and find plenty. I lost 2 there on their lovely roads.
I like your channel…and the chalkboard! Something to think about, the TPMS sensors on rubber valve stems sling around a lot from centrifugal force going down the road. I’m not trying to say that’s what is wrong with your valve stem. RUclipsr “Wandering Weekends” pulled his TPMS sensors off because they were damaging his aluminum wheel and 2nd to that they very well could have been damaging the rubber valve stem. I’d link the video but I’m not sure RUclips would like that.
I like your chalkboard. Where did you get it and is that a marker you use with it? Thanks
Did you get 9 inch snap pads. Look great.
