The kitchen is coming together the way you want it. So, take your time! I love your pantry and how you have the refrigerator and freezer. I would have never thought of separating the two and putting them in the pantry. Easy access to all the "hunted" meat. Looking forward to all the updates.

The chairs won’t get more comfortable with age. Just think of them like a pair of shoes that that rub. I did the bin on the right of the sink and the dishwasher on the left and it worked perfectly! I did long handles too and they are so convenient to use. Love what you’re doing with the kitchen. ❤

I am happy to see your video this morning. Literally right now we are setting our cabinets and we've had a 5-month long gutting of the kitchen and getting of all the wiring and the plumbing and reinstalling. So it's finally to the day that we are starting to put in the cabinets and seeing your video is encouraging. I don't have countertops yet... soon. You really encouraged me that I need to just slow down and let it come together now

Think of cleaning the fluted backsplash if the ridges are very deep. The busy design may detract a lot from your beautiful counter tops. A single glass and black metal shelf would look beautiful below your black sconces.
It’s ok to be picky. Search for style and comfort. You have great taste Emily. You work hard. Built a cottage this year and moved. While being a Mom to your boys. Not too many can say the same. Take your time and enjoy the treasure hunt. Maybe you can take us to estate sales, antique stores or Hobby Lobby! 🤗

Stunning kitchen! I love the flat fluted tile for the backsplash. The round raised sample looked a bit lit bamboo to me😂. The wood cabs with black accents are such a beautiful contrast to all the white.
As always, well thought-out and practical options. Totally agree that comfort should be as important as design, and that taking time to decide, especially on more permanent and expensive items (tile, cabinetry, flooring, countertops) actually saves money in the long run. You won't need much art work with the outdoor scenery. Great place- Merry Christmas!

I love the kitchen cupboards colour and I hope you choose the creamy colour for the backsplash instead of the grey tone, it would warm up the look a lot and looks great against the cupboards.
