Not only that, but I think I've developed a junk drawer radar 🤣 I go into a kitchen and can just sense where that would be. It's always gotta be the one easily accessible when walking by/into/out of the kitchen, but not too close to actual kitchen appliances!
I'd probably add a tall plant next to the mirror, or move the mirror towards the dining table more (since it doesn't stick out much) and have something low on the living room side. You already have a good contrast in that area with the dining chair texture and the mirror, so I don't think you need anything fancy. I love everything you've done - absolutely immaculate.
It all looks beautiful! I’d recommend waiting until winter to decide on the extra lighting as the change in natural light levels will be helpful to understand if and where extra light is needed.
This is such a modern Melbourne house in all of the best ways. As a Melburnian myself, I can't put it into words, but I can just feel it 😂 I love all the changes so much.
Telling your partner to get out of the kitchen when your stressed cooking is soooo relatable and something I do too 😂 glad we have understanding partners. Love the new kitchen!
This reno turned out so beautiful yet still practical! Really love the window backsplash honestly, being able to just look at green plants growing outside while cooking in such a seamless way must be so much fun!
I'm so proud of you♡ I've been following both of you for several years and I remember your early collabs before getting together. It's so sweet to see you living and decorating together in real life, such a cute love story♡ Oh and the house is BEAUTIFUL♡
Yeah, it's amazing how a few warm wood touches (floor, doors and windows) can bring cozyness to an all-white house! It's all light and airy, but not cold at all! I also like the layout a lot, the mix of sorta-open and sorta-closed rooms seems to be quite functional.
While this isn't my personal style, I can tell how much thought, work, and love went into this and it turned out amazing! It's not only gorgeous but practical, and there's fun things in every nook and cranny. Loved this more than a sims build video!
On the wall with the mirror between the kitchen and living room you could mount the mirror onto the wall to take up more of that vertical space and stack maybe two pictures in frames to the side of it to create almost like a mini simplistic gallery wall! Cute and uses the space with what you have and what you’d need to get is relatively inexpensive!!
I think the whole renovation came out beautifully. I agree with you guys about the pendant lights I don’t think the kitchen needs them. I do think a pendant above the dining table would look nice though. :)
Esthetically speaking, a pendant light over the dining room table makes sens. But practically, it doesn't. I removed my pendant light after I had kids because I love having birthday parties in my home and I couldn't move the table if I needed because of the pendant light. So it really depends on everyones lifestyle. If you don't have lots of guests over vs if you throw a lot of parties. 😂
This house is so beautiful and calming! I feel like so many modern homes lack character and seem very lifeless but you did such a great job of making it homey and inviting. And that view from the kitchen window ties it all together. Great job! You should build it on the Sims once its done
YES!!! Everything is so elegant and the eye for detail was spot on. I don't think that the kitchen needs the pendant lights, looks more organic like the way it is.
We are building an appliance garage/butlers pantry in our kitchen and this is the perfect inspo. Hubby wants to hide everything when not in use so your build is just *chefs kiss*
I love the sneaky use of the Sims font in the Before and After text 😏. The house is amazing! I love the window behind the stove top, because you always used glass or mirrored backsplash in your Sims builds, and always defended that choice haha. This house really fits you 💙
Deli your smile looks so much better!! That might be out of line to say but I know it bothered you a great deal and I just thought you should know that it’s noticeably better ❤
Maybe not paintings on that wall with the mirror but some woven or ceramic decorations so it's not just paintings everywhere? This stuff can look very modern, simple and eco, just how you like it.
It’s absolutely stunning! Im always in awe at your interior design skills and your ability pulling a space together!! Seriously I remember when u guys first moved in and you have truly made the space your own 🥺🥺 like right out of a home magazine, truly 😁😁
I actually love those droplet lights! If they are wired separately and on their own switch, it might be nice to have them able to dim, because that would be so pretty in the evening. 😍 Super cute. This came out beautiful!
I’ve been watching deli and James for years but took a break recently…they are THE SIMS IT COUPLE. Im not shocked their house is so nice, who else would care as much about matching wood tones then a sims couple aha
A large green plant in a basket could be really cute next to the mirror in the dining room :) It could also tie in with your green landscape painting in the kitchen. Love the reno, you guys did an ah-mazing job!
It's beautiful and has a serene yet cozy vibe. I love how you've really thought about the function of the kitchen and will definitely steal some ideas for my own! Perhaps a few narrow floating shelves on that blank wall in the dining area so you can keep the minimal look but feature a few special items? Well done guys, it's really a wonderful renovation.
Look how incredible it all looks!!!! This style is so my style, I’m obsessed 🤩 congratulations to you both! I hope you are feeling the happy decor moodlets every time you enter the kitchen 🎉
Gorgeous ad I love how much effortwent into locally sourcing things! RE pendant lights in the kitchen - I like them as a lighting alternative to good bright overhead lights. Put them in, on a separate, dimmer switch. This way you can have soft, gentle mood lighting for quite evenings or mornings, special occasions, etc.
When I was reorganizing my utensil and cutlery drawers, I mocked it out with cardboard and tape to act as the dividers. I adjusted the dividers until I was happy with the layout. Then I had the divider made out of wood to create an insert. It worked perfectly for me as I'm so indecisive, it helped me get exactly what suited me best.
I binged your entire kitchen (plus more hehe, as is the nature of renovations, unfortunately) renovation journey and am so happy for you all. You did such a fine job planning the renovation and it clearly paid off because it looks amazing. For the empty space next to the dining table I was thinking maybe hanging plants or wall shelves with more decor!
Gorgeous reno guys, i love the contrast between the wood and the lighter stone. Fisher and Paykel have always been a good, reliable brand for us. I think mounting a wall mirror over a console in the middle of the wall would look great, a plant and lamp would finish it off.
I LOVE LOVE this new kitchen Deli!! Omg its so beautiful. I am so jealous. I am an Interior Designer I have loved watching it come together and I think its fabulous. I would love to see you paint the wall with the shelves the same green color as the outside wall and continue the paint color all the way around to the TV wall. it would be a beautiful accent color and repeat your green and provide some contrast/interest. Love the idea of a large green landscape art piece which would also bring in the green. Love the idea of pendant lighting over the island. But 3 lights hanging down, or even a long rectangular fixture. Great job. So happy for you!
I love what you've done with your house since you moved in. Really shows that even older houses that are not perfect at first have a lot of potential - even if it takes time and money, of course. But I think this was definitely worth the wait.
Beautiful kitchen! Idk if it would fit your aesthetic but between the living room and dining room on the wall with the mirror I think a nice bar cabinet would look good.
It turned out so beautiful! I really love the sightlines through the kitchen and I feel like pendants over the island would interrupt that unnecessarily.
The kitchen is stunning. I definitely learned a lot from seeing the renovation process and the final reveal! I also probably will incorporate a few accessories to my kitchen to make it more chic and modern like yours.
The green of that shirt is so satisfying against the brown of your hair 💚🤎 Ohhhh, the door's glass's squares are an Australian safety standard thing, that makes so much more sense than "deli's style is way more corporate than I imagined" 😂🤣 As far as pendants, I love how it looks clear and open as-is, but if you were to install something, they'd definitely have to be art, including whatever way they're attached to the ceiling. The dew drops are interesting, but would they look intentional in a space that already has pot lighting? imo you'd want something dangling lower off the ceiling so it's more of a focal point. Except, I don't think you *need* another focal point, since the kitchen already shines as-is. Seems to me it's a classic "leave it until you find something you absolutely fall in love with and have to have" 🥰 No need to go out of your way hunting for something~
A thought for the dining room where the big mirror is; how about centralising the middle on that bit of wall a little with some a mix of plant heights surrounding it? Maybe some on thin/tall tables with a trio of pictures on the wall or something? Basically more focused on making the mirror a feature too 😊
Not James calling Deli out 😅 I remember when you were saying you didn't think you'd ever be able to own a home. I'm so happy fpr you, this looks lovely! ❤
The whole renovation looks fantastic! Well done. For anyone looking for a similar style of door handles, ‘hockey stick/fire check beading’ has a similar profile. I used it for long walnut handles on wardrobe doors and love them.
the stovetop by the window is so gorgeous, being able to cook while looking directly out the window just sounds so soothing. also the boiling/chilled tap blew my mind, lol!
Beautiful remodel! I think if put some hanging potted plants next to the mirror it could fill in the space without adding an additional console or table. 🌿
Omg!! Guys this is so stunning 😍 although going by you and James’ sims builds, I’m not even surprised at how nice this is 😂❤. Utterly obSESSED!!! And a bonus that there is both and fridge AND a bin!! Good going guys 🥰
Love love LOVE the designs yall chose!!! One advice thing is your laundry washer. We just recently had to replace ours from a front load to a top load because ours broke. Front load drums are more likely to break we found out!
Good job you guys! Your home is looking so cozy ^^ Such a lovely, bright, open space and it feels warm and inviting! When I look at your home now, I feel like I can see so much more of your personalities coming through, it’s a beautiful blend of the both of you
The renovations came out beautifully Deli!🥰 Love It! The empty space near the mirror definitely looks more prominent from the Living Room, but not the kitchen. Taking a note from James book I’d say you never go wrong with a plant😂 But not just any old plant. I’m thinking something that would look good in a tall white or beige (maybe even a light pastel green) pot, kind of decorative. Or maybe even something like the plant shelf rack in The Sims, but maybe not as tall or bulky. Something on level with the table. Either way… you guys did an awesome job. I really appreciate the balance in dynamics when it comes to your style’s meshing together. It’s so heart warming to see James help you film and be dedicated to every detail of the process with you, down to how he pans the camera out as you end the video. Do what suits you guys best🫶🏽
This is so amazing and I'm so happy for you and James! Been a long-time simmer fan of you and your content, and I also love interior design. Your renovations are so expertly done, beautiful & clean, and functional too! I aspire to have a home as stunning as yours one day.
This is absolutely my dream home! 😍 You’ve given me so many great ideas! I love the beautiful space you and James have created. That spot next to the mirror seems tricky-maybe a freestanding plant would work?
I cried watching this! I’m so so proud of you guys! I remember the first years of Deli and watching you grow and watching you accomplish things makes me so so proud! You’re like family or a close friend! Love you so so much and I wish you grow bigger and accomplish everything you wish 💕💕💕
I loved this video! My dream one day is to buy a property and renovate it and sell it and your videos are so inspiring. My dream may be a while off still but enjoying living vicariously through you and James.
aw guys - together with my hubby we're starting the moving process soon.. you have no idea how much this motivates me! looks beautiful! thank you for sharing🙏🥰
I absolutely love the renovation before and after. I love the picture of bowser and Franny it's perfect. It's just stunning so much thought has been put into the redesigning and I can't wait to see what you will do next.
Your home looks beautiful! Thank you for sharing the process with us. I think hanging pendant lights would look good in the kitchen. It's so open (which is amazing, btw) that it would help ground the island.
Love the new kitchen. We are renovating at the moment as well.... so if you would just like to pop across the country to Perth and pick out all of the other finishes and paint colours.... that'd be great!
I love your new kitchen and I love watching your vlogs while working! I suggest putting a plant in the dining area, next to the mirror. Or a console table with more plants and a plant in the kitchen, though the green painting is also a good idea.
Did not forget to put a fridge and bin! yay
This comment is way to funny 😅
🤣🤣🤣
That's because Deli did so much. If James had been in charge they would have had to add them after the build.
best comment
Yayyy 🎉
Yayayayyyy
Oh wow, a Deligracy+The Sims' Supply build in real life! What a collab! 😆
😂😂😂❤
My exact thoughts. She brought her sims design to real life
The Dream home decorator pack can only wish 😌
I love that junk drawers are an international thing in kitchens
Not only that, but I think I've developed a junk drawer radar 🤣 I go into a kitchen and can just sense where that would be. It's always gotta be the one easily accessible when walking by/into/out of the kitchen, but not too close to actual kitchen appliances!
It's like you've been in my house 👀
I wish my drawers looked this organised. They all are junk drawers in my home....😂
35:17 - James referring to Deli as "Maddy", I almost had a heartattack
same!
😂😂😂
Not the first time. he did in previous videos too
Oh my word guys. It looks STUNNING!!!! It looks just like something out of the SIMS4 except it is real and classy. Well done
It’s like an episode of Architectural Digest!! Love how everything turned out!! 😍
Thank you 😃🩷
Cozy Vibes just like James and Deli's sims videos
Love hearing this ❤
hahahaha ,James turned the camera around and said "No, I didn't choose it she did it all.", just made me laugh so hard. 🤣
I'd probably add a tall plant next to the mirror, or move the mirror towards the dining table more (since it doesn't stick out much) and have something low on the living room side. Thank you so much!! And thanks for being such a long time supporter ❤
Same! From him flirting with her and calling her by her name, I was transported back to their early collab days and it's so heartwarming
I have huge kitchen envy 😅 this came out looking spectacularly
Yeah, it's amazing how a few warm wood touches (floor, doors and windows) can bring cozyness to an all-white house! It's all light and airy, but not cold at all! I also like the layout a lot, the mix of sorta-open and sorta-closed rooms seems to be quite functional.

The cutlery on top in the dishwasher is absolutely game changing I love that

Everything looks spectacular! Beautiful clean lines, perfectly organized. Your tradesmen did a wonderful job. Enjoy!
Thanks so much! We were so happy with how it turned out.❤

I love the kitchen but my favorite part is the huge windows with views to the greenery. It's just so lovely and calming.
I was thinking while furnishing the kitchen in sims “when will Deli show a tour of her new kitchen” and YEAYYY FINALLY ❤❤
Finally! 🎉
Great idea, I'll play around with it!
"When in doubt, put a plant" :)
It’s absolutely stunning! Im always in awe at your interior design skills and your ability pulling a space together!! Seriously I remember when u guys first moved in and you have truly made the space your own 🥺🥺 like right out of a home magazine, truly 😁😁

I love how the space looks now. Great job.
It looks amazing. Cozy, yet light and bright. It's perfect 😁.
Thank you! 😊
A plant is always a nice way to fill empty space! 🍀 this turned out so beautiful, you guys truly have a gift for interior design
So stunning! Love that you changed the floors, they are warmer and makes everything look brighter and more friendly
Watching this while buying my first house at the grand old age of 33 🙄😂 it’s very exciting! Love the new gaff deli!! ❤
I’ve been watching deli and James for years but took a break recently…they are THE SIMS IT COUPLE. Im not shocked their house is so nice, who else would care as much about matching wood tones then a sims couple aha
Oh deli & james, this is so more like y’all! Very Scandinavian, light, airy and modern. Love it ❤
A large green plant in a basket could be really cute next to the mirror in the dining room :) It could also tie in with your green landscape painting in the kitchen. Love the reno, you guys did an ah-mazing job!

Yes! Those moodlets are strong!
Deli!! you are GLOWING!! ✨✨

I've recently become maximalist in a way, but your space makes me wanna go minimalist haha. It's warm and inviting. Great job!
Being from Iowa, the Iowa magnet really made me do a double take!
Love the renovation, it's absolutely beautiful!
I am obsessed with that kitchen!! Beautiful design work, Deli!!
Thanks so much!
It's been a lovely journey! I'm glad we could see it.

Thank you so much!

omg deli the renovation looks SO good!!! So much fun to watch it all come together, v satisfying
I love Delis slippers, so cute! The renovation is amazing as well, really enjoyed the vlogging.
The renos look so good!!!
That green is definitely your colour Deli!
The painting in the entry way is really pretty!
Overall, your house has a warm and happy vibe… love it ❤
It looks so beautiful! 🤩 Maybe you could frame the mirror with wall sconces for some extra light and some plants.
Not James calling Deli out 😅 I remember when you were saying you didn't think you'd ever be able to own a home. I'm so happy fpr you, this looks lovely! ❤
“We love a waterfall edge!”
Congratulations! It’s beautiful!
I love that you guys have matching energy and sense of humor you’re the best ❤
The whole renovation looks fantastic! Well done. For anyone looking for a similar style of door handles, ‘hockey stick/fire check beading’ has a similar profile. I used it for long walnut handles on wardrobe doors and love them.
the stovetop by the window is so gorgeous, being able to cook while looking directly out the window just sounds so soothing. also the boiling/chilled tap blew my mind, lol!
This looks absolutely amazing and rich!! The doors make such a huge difference
Such a beautiful and inspirational space! How nice that it all went smooth and you guys are happy
Thanks so much! It's been a happy journey!
Yes I love contemporary homes that really incorporate woods and nature- such as the large windows and natural color tones. Your home is gorgeous!!
absolutely gorgeous! I LOVE ALL THE WINDOWS and all the green around the neutrals, a dream!
Beautiful remodel! I think if put some hanging potted plants next to the mirror it could fill in the space without adding an additional console or table. 🌿
I think this is the best online renovation I have ever seen ❤ Well done 😊
I love that wall being green, a wonderful pop of color!!!
When I look at your home now, I feel like I can see so much more of your personalities coming through, it’s a beautiful blend of the both of you
the little steps on either side of the doggy door is so cute 😍
I love the old kitchen framed picture. So sweet
Your home has turned out beautiful after the renovation. 🙂 May you have many years of living together all 4 of you, in your newly renovated home.
Genuinely one of the prettiest and also most practical kitchens I have ever seen, this is AMAZING
Love it!!! It’s been so much fun to go on this journey with y’all and I’m so happy to see you live out your best (irl) Dream Home Decorator life! 😻🫶🏻
❤❤❤❤
I loved this video! My dream one day is to buy a property and renovate it and sell it and your videos are so inspiring. My dream may be a while off still but enjoying living vicariously through you and James.
aw guys - together with my hubby we're starting the moving process soon.. you have no idea how much this motivates me! looks beautiful! thank you for sharing🙏🥰
So exciting, I hope the move goes smoothly!
those shelfs in the kithcen are SO cool and gorgeous in this space! I loved this viddd
It's so adorable - sims music on a background😍 so happy that you had nice experience with renovation!
I love the tiles in the shelf and laundry 😍
I absolutely love the renovation before and after. I love the picture of bowser and Franny it's perfect. It's just stunning so much thought has been put into the redesigning and I can't wait to see what you will do next.
Your home looks beautiful! Thank you for sharing the process with us. I think hanging pendant lights would look good in the kitchen. It's so open (which is amazing, btw) that it would help ground the island.
Omg looks wayyyy brighter and bigger! Fits you guys style 🫶🏻
It turned out really lovely! Congratulations! Enjoy!!
