Test this: John 14.21 " Whoever has my commands and obeys them, he is the one who loves me. He who loves me will be loved by my father, and I too will love him and show myself to him. " After memorising this verse, I kept thinking about it.
I heard a voice in my heart (not in my ears) maybe a week or two later. The voice said:" Look, not only do you have a desire to get to know me, I have a desire to show myself to you. Please obey my commands,so that I will be able to show myself to you moreso!" It has been the only time I heard from God this way.
