1st to swap out radio!👏👏👏👏👏 I knew it was possible! 3s is up NEXT! UNLIMITED backflips!😂 How about a BEC on only the gyro to keep it on 2s? Idk y then 6s couldn't be possible.
Very true. I tell people even on a bicycle if your at speed and you slightly nudge the left handle bar to the right the bike will dip to the left. Its called counter steer.
@@andyb9994 Next time your out riding at a decent speed and while your going straight nudge the left handle grip forward meaning right just a tad or a little bump and you’ll feel the cycle dip left. Doing this could have saved lots or people that ride from coming in to hot in a turn and hitting a curb or running off the side of a mountain. Now when you going really slow and maneuvering around a parking lot you just ride and turn like you would a bicycle.
Joe behind part # LOS264001 you will find the ic2 plug that feeds off the main power lead. All you need is a voltage regulator in between this connector to keep the 2s voltage for the flywheel. Then you can run 3s to main motor and only 2s to the flywheel. Backflip mode engaged!!🤣🤣 👊👊👍👍
The esc has a 2nd ic3 plug for the flywheel under all that mess. Not a lot of space for stuff but all you need is a voltage regulator rated for 2s and then you can power the esc with whatever you want. Just add the regulator between the esc lead and flywheel lead. 👊👊👍👍
I figured this is how it would go. The problem with a motorcycle is when you accelerate the bike naturally wants to be vertical not leaning. Without some sort of throttle control it won’t be easy to keep it smooth on the track especially through turns. Every time the bike gets upset the stock radio cuts power to the throttle to settle the bike down. Now without throttle control it’s gonna be difficult for sure. Now on to a 3s lipo with an 8.4 voltage regulator feeding the flywheel and bam here comes the backflip!!! Great stuff Joe 👊👊👍👍
Without throttle control on it’ll be difficult he says…. Let’s make it 3s he says…. 😅🤣 3s would be CRAZY! It could probably do standing backflips on pavement
If that fly wheel motor isn't too amp hungry you'll could easily power it off a good BEC and run whatever esc you could fit. Time for some crazy power 🤟
There’s actually a 2nd power wire coming from the esc that feeds the flywheel. All you really need is a voltage regulator rated at 8.4 volts to reduce the voltage from the main power from a 3s lipo. You can do this by adding it right between the ic2 plug the flywheel has. Boom 3s on the main motor and 2s only to the flywheel. 👊👊👍👍
4:29 joe you look like a real-time crazy person. Like you’re strung out on bath salts….mesmerized, yet confused 🤣😅 at first I didn’t think you were the one driving, you’re THAT good at driving one handed
Romo $600 I’d leave it alone. It runs fantastic the way it was designed. What is Van Ness to put a $200 radio in on top of that. Appreciate your channel. I’m not fucking crazy.
Loosen the slipper clutch until it starts keeping the front wheel down for you mechanically. I find the bike runs better in general with a much looser slipper clutch as it keeps the front planted in turns rather than bouncing all over and crashing or laying it down. It helped so much, especially with acceleration. Also using the Spekrum program card to add more braking power helped as it felt like not enough, especially on concrete it would take forever to slow down. I have mine on my Spektrum DX5 pro which has less latency than the stock controller. The bike is even much easier to control. Especially with all the throttle and steering curves and abs. It's a completely new animal on the Spektrum DX5 Pro.
Everything! Adjustable rates, exponential, more stability control, less (🤷♂️) stability control. Like leaving anything 101% original/stock & try to run it against anyone not.
The other DX Spektrum radios are already set up allowing you to upgrade to the DX 5 pro, Rugged,Dx6r. Etc. When you bind the specific DX radio it automatically enters motorcycle mode with all of the switches and settings set. This gives full adjustability of the functions mentioned plus many more to adjust the AX6S system. Also the AX6S system is a 6 axis stability system that took over 3 years of development is the real key to making this handling as it is able to determine the exact attitude and acceleration rates in roll pitch and yaw as well as the acceleration rates in the X,Y and Z axis. Gil Losi and Frank Root then spent literally thousand of hours working with the engineers to modify and tune the system. Also note this is a angle demand system so you are actually controlling the bank and pitch angles not the steering servo position. Switching to a simple singles Axis gyro you may as well stick with one of the motorcycles already on the market.
So the dx5c and dx5r are listed as hop ups for this bike.i sent spektrum an email about it,and they replied that they are coming out with an update for those radios,so we can use them with the pro moto.when we do this,we get full spektrum telemetry, rpm, mph, motor temp, all of it.cant wait!
I dont think you can change the ESC in the flywheel, it's a 2 in 1 system? That said you could replace it with one of the lower kV FOC crawler motors? I don't think the stock radio programming is that fancy, it's just a gyro with some curves and rates.
Lastly, isn't the 'anti rollover rollers' adjustable DOWNward? (Thot I read that somewhere). If so, dropping them down should keep it from leaning beyond recovery imho. (I'm done commenting now🤪)
It worked. I think with more time tuning and messing with it, it could be good. But the new firmware spektrum transmitter dx5 I think could be the ticket to this.
Assuming you aren’t landing upside down, wouldn’t it handle better without the rider on there? Thinking like a crawler here…. But it’d reduce the CG by a shitload. could make it easier to bring it back up after those corners and could keep those roll bars from getting buried in the sand (quite as much)
Welcome to actually driving a dirt bike and not having the electronics drive for you. Steering doesn't need a gyro at all. The frame gyro is only needed because it's an off road bike.
Nope!! Put it back to stock !! Want back flips ? Turn the fly wheel the other way ! It spins forward as to why front flips are easy! If u turn flywheel around i dont know how it would effect forward movement, and u wont be able t do wheelys ...
Once in a great while the people who develop these things actually get it right!👍👍😁😎✌️
This is true!
Exactly what I was thinking.

Good job on trying something new! Great video, we are learning about this new RC!
Thanks 👍
Appreciate the shoutout man! Can’t wait till you put this thing on 4s 😆
Anyone that thinks steering is backwards has never rode a real motorcycle.
I’ve rode a bike but was never good enough to do anything cool.
Very true.

Idk I don't have a on pro moto, but ride dirt bikes and street bikes, if I turn handle bar left it turns left....nothing backwards about that....

Sir.. try put the balancing at bottom engine, mybe can balance if the moto down😅 just idea..😂

Like old RC said. More Drive options. It can totally work but if someone else tries it with a gt5 or something else they have a base to start from.
