After myself and others continue having unequal volume problems on the saddle pickup, I now recommend people just use the MultiOud strings Godin sells for this instrument as the saddle is probably designed for the optimal tension.
Hello Navid, I have Godin MultiOud Ambiance and I want to join the Ultimate MultiOud Premium Course. 1) how is the payment process? 2) how I can reach to the lessons? 3) can I download those lessons? I am ready to buy this course after you give answer to me. and last thing. can you just share with me the tune notes of this instrument please?
Hello Navid ,I want to change my oud strings and I'm considering da'dario strings (actually it's the only genuine brand I can get in my country) but I have an egyptian oud and I use arabic tuning, are they not going to work for my oud ? please help!
D'addario strings are fine for your Oud. Read this info before you do it. www.oudstrings.com/index.php?route=product/product&path=1_2&product_id=10 Let me know if you have any questions support@oudforguitarists.com.
Hello Samer, i had the Godin Multioud Encore, and made few records playing it where i tried my best to make it sound like a real oud. it was not easy even with arabic oud strings. but it sounded close i guess. You can check my channel for some of my videos. However, i believe the Ambiance type would be a better option. I just bought one and will see how it will sound ruclips.net/video/2DM6DZgofa8/видео.html
Love your playing, and if this was an instrument I was interested in, I am sure it would be more than useful. However, wouldn't it be more cost effective to simply buy a solid mid quality oud, given the price of this instrument? If you were to install a contact piezo pickup, or even some sort of a saddle/bridge pickup, I am certain it would sound better, with minimal tweaking. Though your tweaking and experience does indeed bring the instrument to the level of playability, I would choose to hear either of your other ouds over this, without question. There is always something lost in electrified instruments, and in the case of the oud, it is the heart. The multi ouds I have played in person seem like limp shadows of their acoustic brethren. It seems like a whole lot of a fuss for an instrument that costs too much, and does not come setup for playability. Fun, yes, but ultimately redundant for the player to make it sound like a real oud, when you could simply play a better sounding acoustic oud amplified. which you already do so well! Definetly major design flaws, but I am impressed with your compensation for them! Stay well my friend.

Do you advice to own this instrument?
It depends on your needs. If you need good electronics and to play live in loud environments, then yes. But if you want soul, don't buy it.
I want one today
Hi. I have a glissentar... Does it work similar?
It is similar, but the preamp sound profiles are probably different.

I bought a Godin Multioud Encore Nylon, do you think I can get some decent original sound out of it or should I swap it for Ambiance to get that?

In your opinion, is the MultiOud the best-sounding electrified Oud? If not, what instrument would you recommend?

Indeed! Hence why it's so important to customize this instrument if you already have one.
