- Shooting the M72 rocket launcher.
Helmet Cam used is Go Pro HD, sorry about the sound quality and the rattling. Didn't secure my camera properly to the helmet. Oh well learn from my mistakes!
he just hit whatever the f*ck he want
The sound is fine. It's what you should expect when you use the waterproof backing. I take mine to the range all the time, you can hear every action of the rifle, loading a mag, sending the bolt home, using the safety, you can even hear the bolt sliding back and forth every shot, but you can't actually hear the shot.
Nice shot, by the way.
Thank you... refreshing to see someone actually know shit about weapons.
Ok, looking at this... Are the actual live rounds rockets or a type of shell like this was?
@@kuno7636 those were 35mm M73 practice rockets. They use spent launchers, insert a 35mm bore into them, and fire these rockets. They have 1.5 ounces of flash powder in the head so you can see what you hit.
LOL i love how you guys are handing those M72s out like theyre cigarettes. nice video
looks like they are just firing training rounds and being reloaded. Probebly not to hight cost behind
"What one should I shoot?"
"... You can shoot whatever the fuck you want."
"Alright."
I lol'd
20mm training rocket. Fired dozens of em. And yeah, poor sound is right. Even the training rounds are unbelievably loud on launch (Id argue the report from the launch is louder than the warhead's detonation, even with a live round).
tcat 117 It's the same thing with the AT4. Very surprising how loud the launch is.
@Marh044 It's actually pretty loud... there's a case around the helmet cam, so the sound quality doesn't do justice to actually being there.
@gregasus1 Cheers, I appreciate it greatly and quite honestly it's people like you that support the forces and keep this great country going.
1:34 😂😂😂”You can hit whatever the fuck you want”😂😂😂
@AznAdam15 Dont forget a third of the weight! Its cool you got actual rockets, other than a few live rounds so we were familiar with them we all trained on AT4 trainers with 9mm tracers
ya no problem dude! People quickly show where they get their info (video games and movies) when they post that kinda stuff. I went to a machine gun shoot in Oregon last month(video is on my channel)and the MASSIVE amount of noise and concussion waves is, simply put, impressive. And if you've never been around them 'in real life' its impossible to truly know. I friend from school saw the video and asked why I was wearing 'those stupid earmuffs'. I IMMEDIATELY knew he had never shot a gun before!
thank you so much for all that you do for our country. im sure im not alone in saying this, i stand behind our troops 100%
@AznAdam15 I'm sorry, yes, I know it's the army. I just was kindof in awe at the extensive ammount of rockets. Good video! I'm sorry for not stating that before!
@AznAdam15 Awesome. Fired my first LAW and 84mm in the range of Gagetown.
Definitely agree. I think unless you are very far away then the sound kind of drowns/overloads the mic.
haha 1:37 "you can hit whatever the fuck you want" "ok" hahaha
I could tell he was Canadian by that mustache
We still use these as the standard section SRAAW in the NZ Army, very outdated but still a lot of fun.
@AirsoftBadBoy Well to the best of my knowledge the AT4 is not part of the Canadian Forces arsenal however it is the same as the M72. One time use weapon as well.
Great video
@04GUITARPLAYER04 Not ACU, CADPAT. Canadians pioneered the first workable digital camo for personnel.
It's maximum range is about 350 meters, and the sight is designed for aiming at tanks when it comes to approximating the range.
So it isn't effective against aircrafts.
@DenniszVideos Yeah the M72 LAW is a single shot weapon. It has its advantages and its disadvantages. The same reason why nations like the west also deployed the Carl gustav along with it and the same reason why Soviet and eastbloc nations employed RPG 18 (Simular to a LAW) next to RPG 7 reusable Anti tank weapons
aint this the training version called M190 ?
Is this the real round? Cuz the other videos showed louder and more boom. And it takes out aircraft too does it
Awesome shot bro.
You seem to be the right guy to float this hypothesis past: I've always suspected that microphones don't capture explosions in their entirety, making them sound funny or flat at times, whereas you hear the whole thing in person. Mind you, this IS just a theory... not much experience in the realm of big booms.
Canadian Forces? If you are.... Thank you for protecting this country.
Ive also shot one and they sound a shitload louder that that did!! good vid.
@TippmannX7Freak Yep, sure is the Canadian Forces. Thanks mate for your support!
Can we have those used M72 launchers?
@CharlieMikeXray Right on... fired the 84mm out in Suffield for my first time. I'm assuming you are or were infantry?
Trust me, as I said before the GoPro doesnt do justice in the concussive forces. You actually have to be there to experience it.
@slt223 Wouldn't know hahaha... could have been older than I. But I'm sure there is a shelf life that the guys working at the ammo depot adhere to.
Nope these weren't sub-cal... this is the actual 66mm HEAT round. If I were using a training round we would put a 35mm firing mechanism into the M72 and it would be a reloadable cartridge. If you notice we pick it up from the ammo bay, fire it, and dispose of the Rocket launcher in the salvage bay right after.
Could I replicate the 35mm rockets ??
I've shot real one to T-55 - tank in Finnish Defence Forces. Nasty little tube :)
@Deftonius Hey thanks bud... just the rattling i guess is what annoys me. Should have secured it more properly
@AznAdam15 does the military still use these rocket systems? seesm to be a lot more portable than a fuckin javelin or AT4
"you can hit whatever the fuck you want" lol
@killerNC17 Lol I guess it has the potential to and thanks for your support mate!
thumbs up for a hit, and for the Canadian forces! Hooah!
Awesome
@free00to00ryhme Yup still used mate, i would prefer carrying this around than something like a jav or at4 imo.
@TheWarrior526 A little, but there wasn't any better spot to secure it to the helmet.
@Naghelfar1 Nope, these were the actual M72 LAW.
They're all Canadian, you can tell from the CADPAT battle dress.
EH aha sweet video man
@Bodybuildinq Thanks mate!
wow the land is so round
2:11 how'd you guys get so many of these M72 launchers? Aren't they extremely expensive?
no big boom?
Is it a one-shot only rocket launcher???
@XxHARDNIPSxX Thanks mate!
Bad pr for GoPro when it comes to sound. That boom is louder than anything :P
@AirsoftBadBoy Its not like a recoiless gun, its just a one time use rocket launcher. After the shot has been taken u just discard it. However there is a possibility that u can take the salvaged tube and send it back to the manufacturer to be reloaded with another rocket but I wouldn't trust it as the tube is made of thin fiberglass and recycling it for multiple uses by the lowest bidder seems extremely sketchy. But back to the point, its just a one time use rocket launcher bud.
is that Petawawa base ?
@LavaFlaminG6 Lol its the Army... m72's are expensive but we got to train somehow.
Cool
is that Petawawa ?
Canadian Military in the summer haha.
do they prevent you from video taping anything ?
see the earth is round
@AznAdam15 Yes. Officer Cadet, finished my trade qualification, though haven't received my regimental affiliation yet. Are you a Patricia?
nice.
@AznAdam15 how tall are u
What ACU are you guys wearing? Is it a new one?
@avenge10 Thanks!
@AirsoftBadBoy Nope. One time use.
cool my uncle use to shoot these
How much do the launcher and the ammo way separately?
Not a clue. Whole thing is about 2.5kg and its single use. You don't reload it, you just grab another one.
@meany1023 Thanks!
some day at the office :)
I thought it would be more of a BUUFSHHHHHWHWHWHWH BLAWW!
what do they do with used LAWs? i want one
Me too, always have!
@@tidedownoutdoors5411 They usually crush them I'm pretty sure.
Canada Fuck YEAH:D
hell yea he gets a thumbs up for the hit lol
is this a training warhead or is that the full explosion?
Training insert. Not nearly as big haha.
First time I fired one was in ATC Meaford back in 97, weather was about the same lol
@ejdrummerboy Yes
Was this in Petawawa?
Lmao nice pop
Where'd you film this?
some time u jst have to lay down the LAW
Oh yeah, its Anti tank after all
The point of a HEAT round is to project the blast internally when it impacts the target.
where is the BANG!?!?
@BUTTERFLYKNlFE Yup
Lucky guys to shoot the LAW...The only shit is we are not able to buy empty M72 here in Canada!!! What a money lost for the Gov!!!???Buy U.S.
@CharlieMikeXray Wainwright
Which target do i hit?
you hit whatever the fuck you want
@avenge10 Wainwright
That thing costs 870$....
People have been disillusioned to what real explosions are like by the pyrotechnics in movies. AT rounds are NOT meant to be huge fire-bombs, they are meant to be directional, controlled (ie small and concentrated) explosions designed to pierce armor... Were you expecting a giant swirling fireball???!!
Didn't check the BBA lol
You'll hear my rso say my back blast is clear...
Too high FOV :P
COD BLACK OPS1
Hands all over the back of the launcher... No supervision saying otherwise... SMFH...
it's just a toy kkk !!!
not a real law
