My kids are all grown now. Two pieces of advice I can give to all the young moms out there. The most important is LOVE YOUR CHILDREN. The second is LET THEM HELP YOU, ALWAYS. It may seem really inconvenient at the time to stop and teach them, but it WILL pay off, in both a strong relationship with your kids, and time for you, later.
And bonding and memories for them and if you make it fun, it will always feel more that way, chores wont be such a dread. Wonderful advice! And they love to be needed and appreciated and it shows them responsiblity great for later in life. Little jobs to keep them buisy and they feel closer to you. Really really great Advice! Better than sticking them always in front of cartoons. My mom didnt seem to have a lot of time but she was a great mom anyway! I wish we would have done more stuff like this together. Her mom was a single mom its just the way it was, she hated cooking and cleaning just wanted to get it over with. I just hate the dishes but I am praying not to. Lol

We also had a family restaurant so when I was little my "helping " wasn't really help, it created more work probably 😂 but by the time I was 9 I was as fast on cash register as the 20 yr olds thst also worked there. She passed away when I was in my 20s but I'm still learning from her by remembering how she did things.
When I was growing up, my Mom always used her Crock Pot in the Summer. We lived in the South and it kept us from "heating up the house" during the hot days. I still use a Crock Pot year round!

Same! I’m a teacher AND I work a second job 3 nights a week. The crockpot is how I feed my family a decent meal and not prepackaged junk! I often throw the meat in frozen solid because it is going to be on low for 8-10 hours.

Tuesdays are pasta night for my family. It's a definate a weekly family favorite in my home along with Friday being taco night and movie night. Blessings.

I have made the dr pepper short ribs several times. The family loves it. It will work with any dark soda.
Does rootbeer work as well?
I made 3 ingredients bbq chicken: chicken breasts, 6oz Dr. Pepper and 18 oz bbq sauce in crockpot… on high for 6 hrs
