the entire cast of the show is so good.. Also for some reason shows that have characters that get on and off boats to go somewhere just makes the show better, it gives an immediate vastness to the world that you're looking at and boats are cool.
In the nover Lord Hiromatsu's nickname is Iron Fist. He has a idiosyncratic way of carrying his katana. He totes it loose in his sword hand. The better to kill an enemy quicker. And he hates his son Toda Katsamatsu. Buntaro executed his mother, Hiromatu's favorite concubine, while Iron Fist was away. He claimed she was unfathful, and as lord in his father's absence, he perpetrated that abomination. Hiromatsu accepted it for the good and stability of the House. But never NEVER forgave him or fully trusted him again.
I like how this whole episode Mariko was explaining to Blackthorne the Japanese sensibilities and mindset with dealing with their world that is so surrounded by death and then at the end Nagakado is like "fuck the gossip" lmaooooo. Omi is a fascinating character to me along with Fuji-sama. I look forward to seeing how things play out for them. Also, I can't help but like Yabushige too. He's such a snake but he's so charismatic.

I think Toranaga knew how impulsive his son was. As a safe guard, he left him in that village and got ready for war. In addition, his son kept a watchful eye in that village and stopped any information to leak to the regents. It was war either way, Tornaga was ready and just waiting for someone to pull the trigger.
