Lucid has hands down the best engineering in the vehicles apart from the battery. Their performance and efficiency is frankly unmatched by anyone in the EV space. They can squeeze more out of a battery than anyone else. Best in class aero, motors, electronics, packaging. Now if only they can scale quickly to their mid size SUV platform they will reduce price and become true competitors.
@@Dr.Octogon does lucid make their own batteries? I don’t know. I know they make stuff for Formula E but I thought that was mostly electronics and motors.
@@portcybertryx222 Yes, they do. That is what they started with before they became Lucid. They were called Aptieva and that was their niche. It was all batteries and powertrains and then they hired Peter Rawlinson and rebranded to Lucid. I think they lost the battery contract but kept the powertrains for Formula E in 2021. But yea, they have always made high performance battery packs. Not sure if they partner with a 3rd party on chemistry and cell design though. I know they use 21700 in their packs.
Chinese companies are coming with amazing cars and affordable prices range. My question is- How much reliable they are, What will be Driving experience after 5 or 6 years.
Lucid Gravity pre-orders are closed because the company is ramping up production and preparing to deliver the first cars to buyers before the end of 2024...
US car companies get tax dollars to help build better EVs at affordable prices. What they do? Manufacture luxury cars for the wealthy. Did Chinese companies do the same. Nope. This is BS.
Your perspective is flawed. Lucid is funded by private funds. Tax rebates are applied at point of sale in the US at the consumer end. It helps in stimulating demand but it is in a very big contrast to the huge stimulus that the Chinese government injects into their EV brands at the supply side meaning they are giving money to build the factories and at the same time also subsidising at the consumer end which means that they can make cheap EVs quicker and without going bankrupt. Also many Chinese brands operate at a very heavy loss but the local banks keep financing the debt as the provinces are in a race for the central government funds and want to project that they are doing the best. If you look back at what the Chinese EV industry was initially also dominated by luxury cars from NIO, Xpeng, BYD but gradually started slaying into mass production. The lucid gravity is already more affordable than the lucid air. Lucid is bringing out more affordable models too with the mid size SUV just like Rivian. Meanwhile GM is now at price parity with the new Chevy equinox which starts at 27k with incentives, quickly approaching the competitive pricing of Chinese EV models.
Electric cars are only good for rich people. They aren’t more environmentally friendly and the only upside of them is that they don’t have gears and are smoother.
wow.. It's really luxurious

Actually, their battery is top notch as well. They make batteries for Formula E. That is not a weak spot for them at all.

What is wrong with companies targeting the wealthy??? Its called business. Are you trying to say you dont want to be rich.
Electric cars are only good for rich people. They aren’t more environmentally friendly and the only upside of them is that they don’t have gears and are smoother.
😂😂😂 German brands not???!!! 😂😂😂😂
Solution: get wealthy.
The interior is amazing but the exterior looks like a mini van lol which is kind of ugly in my opinion
