    Very nice, its not common to watch a video about a deadlift that is fresh and informative.

    I've seen #2 and I call it the "squat deadlift." It converts the DL from a glute exercise into yet another quad exercise.

    When you get it right its so sweet. So hard to lift heavy when you push the bar forward. Also you see all the time hips too low. Turning deadlift into squat.

    Like 90% of the time I see the exact same mistakes being done at the commercial gym I go to. Majority of the time, almost nobody pulls out the slack. Even the personal trainers don't pull out the slack. They just jolt upwards thinking they're "exploding up", their hip shoots up, tries to grind it out with a rounded lumbar spine, with head and neck cranked all the way back. When they go down, they just awkwardly squat it down, the barbell travels forward and around the legs instead of letting it go up and down in a straight bar path. The only people I see doing deadlifts correctly aren't even members. They show up for like a week and disappear forever.

    As always, FANTASTIC content. The quality of your free content is what convinced me that paid BLOC coaching was a great investment. How do you fix the problem of losing extension DURING the lift? You said “keep shirt wrinkled the whole time”-is that the best cue?

    • @BarbellLogic
      @BarbellLogic  5 лет назад +3

      Other cues might be "keep pushing your belly through your knees" or if you feel your hips tuck underneath you, "keep your butt high" is another cue that might help.

    • @BarbellLogic
      @BarbellLogic  5 лет назад +2

    Wait the grip at the end confused me. So what is the proper grip. If it’s too wide loose power. But it’s too narrow then not good too. So what is considered good then?

    Los pies separados un poco menos que a la atura de los hombros.
    2. 54 cm de separación entre las piernas y la barra.
    Mantener las caderas no tan abajo como un squat.
    Sentir el peso de la barra en las manos primero, antes de levantar la barra.
    La rodillas abiertas a la altura de los hombros apuntando hacia afuera como una rana.
    Apretar el pecho superior y mantener la espalda en buena forma desde el inicio
    Inicio empujando el suelo, luego piernas y finalmente hasta arriba empujando la cadera hacia adelante y sacando pecho.

    All good except the shoes. Heels pitch the lifter forward at the start. Now the SS religious fanatics can flame me

    • @BarbellLogic
      @BarbellLogic  2 года назад

      No flaming, but it's just not that big of a deal...no shoes, shoes. Some people have a preference or have trouble getting pitched forward, but wearing the shoes just ain't that big a deal.
