Go back, create an Arisen, give him/her a backstory & play the game while keeping in mind that backstory. Put yourself in a spectator's position, allow the Arisen to "decide". That was my experience, it fixed everything & now I was able to create an ENTIRE concept, on paper, of a Narrative driven, Post-True ending, Expansion for this game. Literally went back to DDDA to get every bits of Lore fresh in my mind to write down the Story for my Concept. Make sure everything makes sense & feels lore-accurate, especially because of DD2's True Ending & it's Events. I'm too passionate about this game, like, seriously LMAO ! Anyway have a good day, anyone who's read this.
I think this theme is possibly the best battle theme in the game for me, but there's still less identity than Grigori's. That's because this game lacks "central themes" to build leitmotifs around. For example, Grigori's eerie choral start of his theme plays in basically all of his appearances, so when they weaved into various soundtracks, it evokes him. They even weaved in Eternal Return into his final battle theme. If that part of 1:45 was actually part of the game's new main theme in the same style as Eternal Return, it would have an even bigger impact.
@@MuraCasardis I hate to tell you this, but every theme carrying one leitmotif gives them all far less identity of their own... You could at best argue that DD1's soundtrack was more recognizable overall, but definitely not that its individual tracks are.
@@TheStraightestWhitest Not only do disagree with you on that, I believe you are just wrong. First of all, I never said EVERY theme should have a leitmotif. Not even DD1 does that. That would be nonsensical. Concerning motifs making songs "have less identity," just look at some of the most beloved OST in the gaming and movie sphere, such as FF14 and LotR. Both examples use leitmotifs to perfection while having very unique tracks defining its best moments. Leitmotifs are one of the things that make things memorable because, well, they juggle your memories by bringing recognizable patterns back. Also did you notice the End of the Struggle motif in this very song above, at the 5:35 mark (the background melody)? Even this song proves my point. A decade later and fans still talk about/listen to End of the Struggle. The devs probably knew, and it ended up being the only DD1 song remixed back in. EDIT: Don't get me wrong btw. I love a lot of the soundtracks in this game. I would even argue the regular combat theme in Vermund is my favorite and much better than the one in DD1. I also prefer the Cyclops and Griffin OST in this game over the first. My statement is more on the OST as a whole.
@bazoogaming3044 No need to pay them attention, though. Some people are way too hyperbolic with their negativity, just as some are with their praises. The soundtrack is good enough and has great highlights, even if it's not the best out there. If you enjoy it, that's great!
This dragon literally don’t care about everything and he’s literally saying it to you , but it’s not because it’s justified by the lore , that’s make it more funnier to fight, if you compare the theme with previous dogma you ll see that s it not limited by only classical instruments, there’s a damn guitare !, that brings something more refreshing and epic to the fight, that’s why we like the first dogma is for exploring and experimenting with different things
if this game'd had one more year of development time, it'd be one of the all time greats.
It is!😊

@SetsukoSen-i5r Weird flex, but ok
3:20 This is game of the year for me.
1:45 man, people who say that this theme hasn't as much "identity" as the first game's dragon theme are really trying to ignore this

Same. One of the best parts about fantasy games coming out is the soundtrack for dnd.
Ésta es la versión que yo buscaba de esta canción. Con las 3 fases de la pelea incluidas.

I love this theme, I always drag out the flashback in Melve so I can hear it more.

dlc come out already!!!!!!!!!
they made a epic ost for monster hunter series, sure they make another masterpiece for dragon's dogma 2..and this is it
I honestly thought this theme was great, but I can understand how it could be underwhelming.

Imagine thinking a final boss theme needs an electric guitar to be good
