Cro-Cop is a great fighter. People seem to like to run him down because of his time in the UFC. You forget he fought top notch competition in Pride and didn't exactly lose often. I think his loss to Gonzaga killed his confidence. You lose that, no matter how good you are, you will continue to lose as 80% of fighting is mental. I personally think it is a smart idea doing what he did to regain his confidence and go back to UFC. Mark my words, when he does, he will be a force again.
@MancoChakutec Not sure, age maybe....a 2006 mirko would be tearin up the UFC. He doesn't move like he use to, just stands there and takes it. He use to strike then move and weave and strike again, maybe he just doesn't want it enough anymore. Someone needs to really piss him off now for him to be agressive instead of being aggressive all the time....
Mirko probably has some injuries holding him back now a days. He fought a lot of very tough opponents and trained really hard. Could have even been from his time in the croatian anti terrorist group. In any case he really isnt the fighter he used to be but still one of my favorites.
Did anybody else feel a little bad for this guy? I mean, crocop REALLY hurt the guy, its the first time I feel sorry for CC oponent! I mean, he got his ass kicked in under a minute! But it takes alot of balls to take that fight on such a short notice, THAT GUY HAS BALLS, you have to give him that!
im sure Tatsuya Mizuno is not a cro cop's level. cc pussied out from ufc which he was supposed to dominate. he left for what? to fight a guy like this? its just sad such great potential can goto waste
I look forward to seeing Crocop back in the big leagues against top competition. If he needs to build his confidence up with a tune up or two fine but he needs to face the best again soon.
Yeah because last time he fought in Japan he was fighting those bums like Fedor, Minotauro Noguiera, and Wanderlei Silva. He should go back to the UFC to fight real Ultimate Fighters right? He didn't choose his opponent and his next fight will be against a much better fighter

Mirko was fighting lower competition over in Dream FC, afterall there really aren't many high skilled or great Heavyweights fighting over in Japan.
