Best string's on my Mustang turned out to be the LaBella 760 MUS flat-wounds, made for the string through bridge, and they are less wooly than the fender strings and have that LaBella punch.. I've got 4 RW basses. a 1st yr 2008 jazz, a 2016 jazz , a 2012 P bass, and the RW JMJ mustang. They are all fantastic, and better then any CS fender I owned. No better value if you like real vintage spec fenders. The JMJ 'stang is easily the coolest bass I've ever owned, right up there w/ my Hofner V62.
Well... I'm with Gabor, I'd buy that on appearance, especially as I don't own a bass. Daphne blue looks killer, but it seems a bit turquoise. Perhaps that's the lightning, but that blue looks rather different to my MIJ Mustang in daphne. So Gabor has two basses now. Hmmmm... Too many guitarists going round - there's way more work for bass players! - good thinking! Cheers fellas and great to see a new face. Pete is welcome anytime. 😄
Grazie mille!! I think it had the gain/sustain all the way up and the tone was somewhere in the middle! I used the Dazatronyx Transistor Fuzz which also has an added mids control which added a whole lot mids to the sound!!
Played one of these at my local shop a while ago, it is easily one of the best sounding and playing basses I’ve ever played. It’s fantastic.
i been really wanting this bass for a longtime
That bass is the GOAT in the Mustang lineup. Can't wait to own one soon.

FYI StewMac has a tele truss rod adjuster for about $10 that allows you to adjust the neck without removing it.
