As a dutch person living in Copenagen: rent actually seems pretty normal in the countries I'm familiar with. Insurance sounds quite high.. about double from the NL. Most of the costs seem normal, except for eating out. That's definately expensive.

Yes i understand specially in the more northern countries its very similar to switzerland. I heard about the tax beeing pretty high in NL though.

Is it really minimalist to own a car in a country like Switzerland?

Minimalism depends on everyones lifestyle 😇. For me a car is not something i could give up as i take a lot of hikes, weekend road trips which would be more of a hassle with public transportation.
