Cultic: Interlude is a free self-contained single episode DLC for Cultic, which takes place before the upcoming Cultic Chapter 2 and sees you playing as a different character. If you missed my video of Cultic Chapter 1, I've linked it at the end of the video if you'd like to check it out. :)
I don't know what is the major malfunction of modern generation of gamers but it looks like they would eat up anything. That's the price of gaming becoming too mainstream i guess. AAA games can't provide anything other than variety of souless trash. Indie games are hit and miss but at least there is a choice and from time to time we have successful passion projects like Cultic.

Honestly I kinda love how this Interlude chapter puts you into the perspective of another character, kind of reminds me of the half life expanisons like Opposing Forces, Blue Shift and Decay. Hope this character becomes a recurring player character or at least survives the end of the chapter. 4:32 I love how the previous arsenal can be seen in the evidence locker and they decide to be cheeky by having gun locks on them to prevent you from getting these again

People are sleeping on Cultic hard. If should be one of the best known and most widely praised boomshoots even with only episode 1 out. It is that good.
I was half expecting the player character be the guy from 1, who the police force simply covered up his quasi-illegal doings by swapping his corpse for another, and then assigning him records duty. But I also love how it instead sets us our grave escaping protagonist escaping yet again...
I think the shotgun is a Browning Auto 5. Don't think I've seen one in a game before besides Hunt Showdown, I really like the dev's choice of guns in this and the base game.
@diyambarcil2310Nah screw that noise, an Whippet Auto5 is an underrated weapon and perfectly fits with the games love for overkill between the player characters and the enemies.
they talk about the Browning shotgun... let's hope there gonna be a pump shotgun too , in Chapter 2 or a third one. can we talk about the police revolver too? as a gun amateur, i think it has a design from Smith & Wesson, i recognized the style of sights and barrel and it apparently use 357 Magnum

Such a great game, it's like Blood without being a clone, it's got a lot of great designs and mechanics, it's really fun to play at a high skill level. Definitely 10/10.
"CULTIC" clearly drew inspiration from "BLOOD". The game has many elements taken from "BLOOD", for example: dynamite with a lighter, a Voodoo doll, hooded cultists, retro style, scenery, even beginning of the game, where the main character wakes up in a pit of corpses just like Caleb.
tbh, it feels more like OG re4 than Blood gameplaywise in its weird way (i am not talking abput leon's jacket) i am not sure why tho, maybe it is just the c96 mauser/red9 and the amount of time i hit enemy's axe etc or enemies throwing tnt at me or the annoying beartraps o how the level design is structured or gow headshots are absolute priority etc or the way enemy cultists mutrer rheir voicelines in a low tone etc i dunno. i love Blood but the inspiration of Blood on this game are only ob the surface level. everything else is pretty re4 ish in a weird way

So cool
Got to love this era a game made by one person, outdoing most AAA FPS games, and with less bugs can't wait for chapter two.
Need to work on those loading times though, sheesh.

Me: I just finsihed Cultic Chapter 1.
Civvie11: BUT WAIT, THERE'S MORE!!!
Wowsers, the animations/sound design, and gun impact are just BRUTAL. Very well done from a design standpoint.

To be fair, they’ve got to justify taking away all your weapon upgrades somehow.
You need a key to the morgue because people are dying to get in.

What AAA games should be like today, good thing guys like Jason Smith exist, to give us quality products like this!

The detective is likely alive seeing how at the end you can hear a heartbeat while the cutscene is panning at his body.
i mean the OG Cultic guy already rose from being dead once,
it might happen once more u know
it seems our detective is most likely alive since when the camera pans into the morgue at the end his body is missing.
