How were the seas? Calm or rough? How do they compare to the seas in the Caribbean? It's my hold up for going, heard they can be super rough up in Alaska
Hey, the weather at sea was pretty much what you would expect when going on an Alaskan cruise. It was quite cold outside, and it was so foggy that I couldn't see more than 10 feet ahead of me when at sea. Even with the weather so gloomy , it was still smooth sailing. Due to the chilly temps, I didn't spend much time outside while at sea, but from what I recall, the ship ride was smooth. Very comparable to sailing on the Gulf of Mexico side of Florida. Additionally, most of this cruise was spent navigating through canals so we weren’t exposed to the open ocean. Fun fact: Typical cruise ship captains usually avoid rough waters & storms so that guests have a pleasant journey. Finally don’t be scared to excpreimce new things based of what others tell you remember you only live once (yolo).
