  • In this video, I am going to talk about why you should allow yourself the freedom of being “bad” at graphic design and how failure can be your biggest superpower in a creative world.

I've been in a slump recently, life has caused me to feel like I've lost my edge. This video is good reassurance that being bad is apart of the process.

I am a newbie in digital design, though ive studied fine arts. After a long time of burn outs and total blocks, i really really appreciate your videos, your thought process and book recommendations. You always help a lot

I was just thinking about how bad i am as a designer this morning. I graduated few years ago and i still feel lost. Your other video showed up on my recommendation and after watching that one i randomly clicked this one. Thank you for the inspiring words, you got me crying while eating lunch 😂 i won’t stop creating and i’m trying to get into freelancing! Have never freelance before (inonly worked for company or for friends) so its a bit intimidating but i feel positive now. Thank you

Just wanna say thank you. Been in a rut for past couple months creatively. I was worried I lost the joy I got from making art and design for a while. But this video definitely was good reminder of why I liked doing design not trying to follow trends or be like other creatives that I love, but make new discoveries through experimentation!

7:50 I'll be honest seeing the level some designers have on IG kinda crushed all my motivation at some point, I started to think that there was no point in producing anything, because it wasn't good anyways. Hopefully i can get back on tracks

What I’ve learned and I don’t have a huge following, is to just explore and create. Create something that you feel and want to express rather than what you think others want to see. It’s helped me with my inner creative, and also my engagement on IG. Just stay true to yourself and express what you want to share. 🖤

Great insights on the creative journey! How do you personally keep your experimentation and creativity alive, especially when facing tight deadlines or client expectations?

Watching this video reminded me of the art of Kintsugi, where a masterpiece is created from a failure, which gives it even more worth.

I’ve been working at a sign shop as a graphic designer for 4 months now and it’s started to kill my creative mindset and desire to design. it’s definitely not the job I want but after applying for jobs for over a year and getting nothing I took the first one I could get. The pay is good but the job itself is draining, and mind numbingly boring. I’m still applying to jobs as I work but I don’t know what to do, I want to try free lance but I don’t know where to start or how to make the time when I constantly feel drained.

saying people are copying these designers as if they came up with the style is ludicrous
