Beautiful sharing excellent great cool and calm content stead walk keep walking and keep sharing excellent great watching from UK 🇬🇧 😊❤️🇬🇧👍new friend here stay safe and stay blessed 👍
Thank you for doing these videos. My family just completed a wonderful trip to Windsor and Amherstburg and mostly inspired by your videos. This year we are discovering places close to GTA. We will do Kingston , Smiths Falls and are and will be staying in Otenticks on Rideu lock 44. I know its hard to do these videos and I don't comment easy. Thanks!!
That's a whole lot of cool history in fort malden. Really enjoyed how intact Amherstberg kept there history. That's an awesome flight of beer at Lot 10... Can't wait to see the next brewery coming up!
The river side and the park house museum area was awesome !! It's nice to get a map of the area before exploring ...nice way to explore a historical city and end it with a beer !!😎
My hometown! Still such a small town, and quiet. Lovely plants and people. I still can walk the street at 10pm and it's dead silent. The waterfront has won awards for its flowerbeds and beauty
It was so beautiful and friendly we actually started looking up real estate in the area! We'd love to live in this charming town - and so close to the US border when it opens again 👌
You guys always show us the beautiful places around. Another great vlog. We always enjoy the tour! The water front wow. Love it all! Keep up the good work and the beautiful bonding. #JackyAndTheWifey ♡ here :)
That house built in 1790 that was floated down the river to be rebuilt in Amherstburg is way cool. I love learning bits of history like that! That flight of 10 is awesome..omg I so need to go beer tasting.
Lol at Alan "cheers"ing your crossed fingers with his! 😄 Insane asylum, interesting. "A" for effort, Alan, trying to offer rain shelter! Coffee maple?! Sounds intriguing!
Love a riverside walk! When it rains, we pour! 😂 need to remember that one. Of course you guys found a brewery, flight of 10 to wait out the rain seems like a great plan😊
We took the scenic route - because we were lost 😆😂 How interesting that the house has been in both countries, that is pretty unique :) That brewery near the end looked awesome - we also would have ordered the flight. They had a great variety of beer options!
Such a pretty and historic area! We love waterside walks 😀 Hope your bad luck run of places being under construction comes to an end soon. So frustrating when the places you want to go to aren't open.
So far we are still experiencing the construction. I think 2021 will have lots of beautiful places to explore since they are mostly all being renovated this year!!
Your footage is really good! I am glad we stumbled across your channel! We loved the fact you were so informative and explained the history which we love!! We subscribed very quickly!!! 🙌🙌
Ah that scenic route. :) Always helps you find some great views. It looks like a great place for a river stroll. If it was not so far, I would put the beer tasting on my to-do list. :) Great video guys.
"When it rains, we pour" lol I love it! Amherstsburg looks beautiful. I love all this historic information you provided. It was very nicely done. I also love that you found a brewery - flight of 10....we would totally do the same :)
Glad you found your brunch. I knew I heard about fort Malden before, it was indeed about the refugee safe place. Nowadays weather forecast seems to to be wrong everywhere. Why am I not surprised you finished your day again with some beer tasting?
That lake at Amherstburg looks absolutely beautiful 🥰 love the history at the Fort, feel enriched looking and listening 🙂 it's so cool that something is always under construction 🙈 we found now with our travels within South Africa most places are either temporarily closed or permanently closed 😪
Yeah it's so sad that places are closing. I think a lot of places won't make it through the pandemic due to lack of business. It's really sad. Glad we could enjoy some of the sights though!
I live in Amherstburg. Fort Malden is no longer under construction if you wanna come back for a visit...lol... it’s basically like a museum inside. I do feel you should have stopped by the Black History Museum in town. Such an amazing museum that also includes a church showing where they would hide the slaves under the stage floor. Was a 2 mins drive from downtown core. Also, Harrow, between Amherstburg and Kingsville, would be a fun place to tour. All along the Lake Erie drive there is nothing but wineries. Such a beautiful drive.
That's great news! We would love to go back next summer when things are open again. The history museum sounded awesome, we just didn't give ourselves enough time in the area.
Fort malden is one of the most interesting part of Amherstburg. The fort being built here was the reason the town grew (bakeries to feed the soldiers, taverns for drinks etc). The big building under construction was where they baked bread and did laundry during the insane asylum period, it was made.from disassembled army buildings. Isaac brock met Tecumseh there too.
"When it rains, we pour" That is so clever and funny. Sorry you guys got rained out a bit. We are finding these same thing with "under construction or renovation" in every country we have visited during the pandemic. Makes since that they would do it now with less tourist. But still a bummer.
Certain things were nicely done but it doesn't seem like you got any info from a local. More from a brochure. No mention of the historic Boblo Island, the best ice cream at the Waterfront and pizza that rivals the best in the world. Find out the secret. Also those from Amherstburg take great pride that it has held the title of safest community in Canada. I feel you didn't find many gems. No mention of the amazing gardens, spectacular sunsets, or even that their fire hydrants are painted like little soldiers.
We spoke with the staff member at the visitor's centre to get some of the highlights. And we actually went back the next day to try the pizza, ice cream, explore the gardens and enjoy the views of Boblo island! I'll be sure to mention your points about the safest city as well (if that's ok with you!).
As a resident of Essex County it has been an absolute NIGHTMARE to go anywhere the last few months because of all the construction on the major roads connecting all the towns. Super frustrating!
We were only in the area for a long weekend and it was frustrating. Can't imagine dealing with it on the daily. Hope it's really nice when they finish (and hopefully they finish soon).
Thanks for watching my latest video! I hope you enjoyed the tour around Amherstburg, Ontario and seeing the sights in this historic town.
Always think positively and have a lot fun thoughts, your day and your heath will be better.
Beautiful sharing excellent great cool and calm content stead walk keep walking and keep sharing excellent great watching from UK 🇬🇧 😊❤️🇬🇧👍new friend here stay safe and stay blessed 👍
Thanks so much for watching! Appreciate it :)
The water front seems really nice. I didn't know the Underground Rail Road went there. So cool! Beer is the perfect way to end the day. Safe travels!
Yeah it was a fund little town to explore.
I live here, and the waterfront has won awards for its beauty. It's such a quiet town

Highly recommend!
We took the scenic route - because we were lost 😆😂

Yeah we almost always get lost - and it's usually my fault lol. It was such a good beer flight!!
Sorry about the bad weather guys 🙈 but....that flight of 10 😱🤤🍻 Craig is sooooo jealous right now!!!
Oh it was a flight of perfection! 👌
Such a pretty and historic area!
We love waterside walks 😀

Quite a bit of history there with the forts, didnt know about this, thanks.
Yes, very historic town!
You two can sniff out brewery anywhere :) Love your style. Amherstburg looks lovely even in the rain :)

It looks adorable there but we don't blame you for not wanting to wait in that line lol
Yeah it was wayyy too long.
"When it rains, we pour" lol I love it! Amherstsburg looks beautiful. I love all this historic information you provided. It was very nicely done. I also love that you found a brewery - flight of 10....we would totally do the same :)

Aw man I LIVE for small cute houses like the Park House Museum!! Want to see what it looks like inside. I bet it's cute af
Yeah same - all these old places are so charming.
Glad you found your brunch. I knew I heard about fort Malden before, it was indeed about the refugee safe place. Nowadays weather forecast seems to to be wrong everywhere. Why am I not surprised you finished your day again with some beer tasting?
Thank you 😊
Closure of streets can be so frustrating at times. Amherstberg is so beautiful to eyes.
Thanks so much!
This was cool, too bad some things were under construction! Great area to explore though! I liked all the info you provided throughout.
Thanks very much. We liked the area.
We didn’t get lost - we took a scenic route 😂! Love that attitude!

It was definitely one of the best parts of our Kingston trip. So much history there.

Yeah such a bummer - but just think how sturdy and refreshed every attraction will be next year 😂
