    Well said! Excited for your next three points. I have a lot of people ask me if I'm vegetarian or if I'm vegan. I say no, I'm a lot stricter than that! Actually I am WFPB!! haha

    Love your videos! Thanks for sharing! Calorie counting is so 1980s and so boring. Just eat the right food! Simple! Wish everyone knew this! I’m 42 and only found this way of eating last year and have lost 35lbs in 6 months and reversed my blood pressure problem. Wish the doctor would have prescribed me potatoes rather than pills! Anyway I am feeling amazing and videos like these are so helpful! I still have a way to go but I am not too worried as know what works! Thank you Emmie! 😘🥔🥦💚

    Sometimes tracking calories can save you from hurting yourself. I agree that learning hunger cues is key, but I didn't know anything about that so I just ate without counting calories. But suddenly I was getting super tired and so I input my meals to see if I was getting enough nutrients, see if it was a vitamin deficiency, and because you can't turn off calories in the app I found out I was only eating a thousand calories a day. Not safe. if I hadn't tracked them (albeit accidentally), I would not have known I was starving myself. I still had constructs in my head about how much was enough and it wasn't when there is no oil or sugar being added in. So if it's between counting calories and being healthy, I want to make sure I'm healthy until I unlearn hunger/food habits. Obviously, in the case of those with harmful associations, that may not be the case, but it sure saved me and my health to count calories now and then.

    i used to be one of those not-hungry-in-morning people. then after looking at what i was actually eating everyday, i find that it is because I eat too much at night, often making up for the lack of breakfast & lunch

    I don't know how I missed this last week! I always love your videos! You make so much sense. I don't eat in the morning but that's because my mornings are really slow. I don't have an eating window, though. I do eat when I'm hungry. But if I had to pick a time, it's more like 10ish and 3ish and 7 or 8ish. But I usually eat more than 3 times a day. Due to abdominal surgeries, I can't eat more than a cup or two of food at a time. I failed miserably at Mary's Mini because of that....and I'm also insulin dependent diabetic as well....complicated...

    I remember books that had the calorie counts of most foods. Lots of calorie counting even back then.... I’m that old 🤣🤣

    I fear been hungry cus that has been my obstacle to lose weight. When i became vegan i was hungry all the time. I tried keto for 3 weeks and it was way better to feel satisfied and started to lose weight but at the end of the 3rd week no energy at all so i quit and went back to high carb but i get hungry like every 2 hours i just drink water chew gum and wait till 4 hours and those 2 hours are just thinking about food. And that's my life since i became vegan 2 years ago

I'm getting ready to start the starch solution I've been doing tons of research and I thought okay I'm going to have to count calories and then I was feeling guilty because I've tried intermittent fasting and it doesn't work too well for me so thank you thank you thank you for this video you are awesome

    Hi Emile, I really enjoy your content but not sure about your take on not counting calories. I agree that food labels vary from labels but I do think it is better than nothing. Maybe it is all in my head but before I started counting calories I hit a plateau then I decided to track my food and a lot of times it is a guessing game because I try to cook my own meals so a lot of looking up calories and adding things up for me to track but since I put in the effort, I have exceeded my goal weight and now hit my maintenance status. So although calorie counting may not work for everyone I think it worked for me.

    I dont count calories most of the time. But i have a bad sweet tooth so for sugary fatty things i like to track them . im 220 pounds and want to be healthy and get to a healthy weight
