Here’s a tip for the shower rod: rub wax paper on the rod from one end to the other and that will make the shower hooks glide easily.
Love that you do your work yourself. A lot of ladies do the designing work and have husbands who do the sawing, installing, drilling, etc. I'm a single mom on a budget, so it's encouraging seeing your girl power.

I redecorated my bathroom for less than $75 ! I bought a new shower curtain, rod, hooks and liner, shower caddy, garbage and a quart of paint. I reused everything else and spray painted them black matte . Oh and I covered my tile floors with $6 contact paper from Target. 🤫

The vinegar & water clean is the age old method that works so good! I like how bright the bathroom is also.

I also got sticker shock from that shower caddy, because I usually pay no more than $15. The first shower caddy I bought was $1, and it lasted me almost a decade. But if you like it, it's all that matters.
Make sure you get a DEHUMIDIFIER to keep the mold away. It's made wonders in my basement after we removed walls, floors and more

Shower caddy was too much!! I got one from TJmaxx that is rust free and had a place to turn things upside-down and everything for like 20-30 bucks...Can't remember. But I know it wasn't more than that. But at least it's cute and you like it, so love it!

I was noticing your shower caddy has rubber at the top so it doesn't slip. In my bathroom we have a spa shower head and the caddy always slips. It may be time for an upgrade. I'll look for yours at Target.

Blessings. As for the makeup comments, it depends if you’re flushing lid down. Lid down keeps the bacteria to a minimum and is best! No-one can determine if you paid too much. It’s relative to your budget, value to you, the quality, durability......

I used to keep mine in the bathroom but the reason we shouldn’t iS bc of all the moisture from the shower.

Yeah... your make up in the open bathroom is honestly gross though! Store it under the sink where it's a bit more protected. Fecal matter gets everywhere. Especially if you don't use the lid when you flush. But, do you.

I don’t think you spent too much on the bathroom caddy. The cheap ones don’t last and Simple Human is a nice idea reliable brand! Sometimes splurging in items that last save you money in the long run.
