@simonsez1000 hey simon,I couldnt agree more with that I live in Canada and quite frankly our hip hop culture is in the dunny right now! as for me 10 years ago I discovered the hilltop hoods and the music blew me away now oz hip hop is my life Im constantly spreading it to ppl I know, and I always get the same resonse "this is what hip hop is suppose to sound like" ' cheers mate
this song has one of the most uplifting lyrics i have ever heard. It so incredible to see a message like, "we are all going to hell" and turn it into something happy. Only a ture artist can do this. Ozzie hip-hop never ceases to amaze me. Like this if you agree!
well, 'the hiphop like this' is pretty much all Australian hip hop (not 360 though) So lets say: Hilltop Hoods, The Herd (Urthboy is a member of the herd), Drapht, Funkoars, and listen to some other urthboy songs, my favourites from the last album: The Big Sleep, Orphan Rocker, Stories and Empire Tags. And listen to Knee Length Socks, but you probably have already. Enjoy!
dammmm.....hellla nice tune O_O love all of urth boy fallen in love with aussie hip hop hip hop (tasteless main stream and unintelligent gangster rap, plus all that techno shit with kesha gaga and such)now days is about.......hm...puttin wheels on cars, gettin drunk, slappin women. and, i honestly have no idea what the hell people like kesha are trying to do with their music, its completely talentless. you take the dictionary, pick out random words, and auto tune them :P anyone can do that
Australia took hip-hop and did it right. I'm tired of finding albums from U.S. artists and they're basically full of 13 or 14 tracks about how awesome that artist is, or how many cars they own, or how many women they've banged. But then, I hear this sort of thing from Urthboy or Downsyde or Bliss n Eso, and I lose my mind. In some ways, the rest of the world has beat us Americans at our own game, as far as hip-hop goes. Especially Australia.
@KidsWithGuns1992 But how do you define "proper" music, and who gets to define it? Tens of thousands of years ago, our music was likely very simple--some vocals and some percussion. Eventually we developed orchestral music...and at the exact same time there were people thousands of miles away in the amazon basin with a completely different definition of "proper" music...and so it goes. I think this is as much music as say, Mozart...it's just completely different.
Well it's sort of silly to not call it music, as the definition of music is anything that has a beat and a consistent tune. Though I do get what you're saying, and I agree; it's not really proper music because it's not an orchestra or a band put together, making the music themselves instead of getting pre recorded stuff. Shows ya how lazy the world has gotten today, with almost everything you hear on the radio the back beat is pre recorded, no one makes their own stuff anymore.
Its the differences in culture that split apart what 'hip hop' is all over the world, hip hop has always been about having something to say and expressing it on a platform that allows the theories and poetry to be expressed. We see alot of hip hop being dominated by the ego around the world, which has set Aus apart in a way because alot of people won't listen to you down here unless you have something real to say ie. politics, as opposed to statements about women, cars, guns and money. Peace.
Good point, good point indeed. I suppose, in my own opinion, I define "proper" music as a group of people making the music themselves with instruments. But then again, how can I not define this as proper music? Music is music, I guess anything with a tone and a beat is music.
This guy is a person who really wants to be a someone close to a representation of something who he has in his mind, what is that person earthguy? Basic political commentary justifies your sales? Your Hood culture, the streets, was it hard? Who are you? //what are you?
glad to here there are people out there like me. I live in America and can't stand all the garbage on the radio out here. even the "underground " stuff seems lackluster compared to Obese crew, Taskforce, and Dr. Syntax.
@simonsez1000 Well, stricly speaking, "Hip Hop" is a more musical version of rap (Or more likeley, Rap is a less musical Hip Hop) in that it's rythmically spoken poem or prose to musical acompanyment.
dude i'm a Canadian metal head....and i fucking love this track....(oh and hilltop hoods) lol nice job mate...auzzie hiphop is way better them the crap the pump here!
@commanderMANGO9 there's alot of dope american hip hop too, don't be a hater - there's alot of wack hip hop being made in australia also. This song is not.
This is the most creative Hip Hop video i've seen by far...it has so much originality in it. Damn...Now that I think about it, I've listened to other Aussie artists, and it puts a smile in my face that they're all original and flow so well...they're not to materialistic, and they do not rap about cars, gold chains, blingin...Aussie rap has more story elements in it.
why is it that every aussie hip hop tune on youtube has a huge debate going on just play the damn track and tip a beer or some shit, relax the fuck out
I highly suggest you don't use the word "hell" in any more of your productions. It's simply hating on religion, stop being such a troll! -liamnasher, fitness expertise
11 month comment, yolo! There is a big difference in symbolism, from 'Hell' and 'Hellsong.' Religion is a bunch of nonsense and if you don't like it, simply listen to something else. I'm quite sure Urthboy is more Successful then you and shouldn't need to take suggestions to make a different target audience happy.

Can someone have the lyrics ? :c
Of course
Everybody, come on
Let's go, let's go, let's go
Everybody throw your hands right up in the sky
Let's go, let's go, let's go
[Verse 1]
Even your grandma and your grandad
Distant relatives you never knew you had
Never kept tabs
To their far-fetched friends either ends of the map
Whatever goes everybody knows that
To the party crowd, every week they turn it out
They work their fingers to the bone, they deserve it now
And when the big tune drops hear the floor shout
When we get the call out, we all out
[Hook]
According to the people
The people that resemble
Disciples of the temple
We’re all going to hell
We’re all going to hell
We’re all going to hell
We’re all going to hell
[Verse 2]
We’ll be joined by agnostic and atheists
And loopy cuckoo cults across the Earth’s radius
The brightest of the bright will be
Coupled with the shadiest
Workaholics condemned to pens with the laziest
The passive and the ropable, no hoper and the
Forgettable and uh, the quotable
The centre of attention to barely audible
Not even any privileges for the laudable
What Ben Lee meant, with we’re all in this together
On the high road to hell we’re birds of a feather
Nothing can unite us like endeavours to the nether
Bureaucrats lobbying Lucifer with a letter
I swear that satan will get sick of it quick
Leavin’ the evilest of evil even thinking to quit
To the tune of Kenny G playin’ saxophone licks
Thinking hell has really gone to shit
[Hook]
[Verse 3]
The Gallagher brothers are hanging with the brothers Grimm
Church choir mingling with them that never sung a hymn
The pope and all the endlessly devoted under him
Fellas that lived to the fullest to them that died wondering
And all the underlings, up to the chief
Execs, the celibates that never had great sex
Are getting cosy with the X X X, the devil accepts all
Creatures great and small (yes he will take your call)
The booking agent, label rep manager
Professional promoters hard to pick from amateurs
They hard to pick from anarchists who’re hard to pick
From lawyers that are lining up for damages (isn’t it all fabulous!)
Whatever happened to happily ever after
Obama and Bin Laden, gathering clouds darken
It’s not the way it was supposed to be
“don’t stand so close to me”
[Hook 2]
Everybody c’mon, we’re all in the fold
There’ll be a bright future for all
Everybody c’mon, we’re all in the fold
There’ll be a bright future for all
We’re all goin to hell
No I don't that it is. That would be six, no? Thirteen is considered an unlucky number, not sure why, it's lucky for me. Then again, I am not sure.
His topic is perfect! The world including religion is corrupt and as long as religion is hell is quite a good topic(:
