Absolutely Amazing! What a lot of time you put in to making these videos so we can experience the rivers without the wind or the cost of a few plane rides. Looks like you found an excellent way to spend your time, exploring remote Alaska rivers. Please keep it up and keep the videos coming!
@@DevanatNorthernNoise You are correct. I own Wood River Lodge (near Healy - not Dillingham) and currently spend more time jetting up the river than floating down. Perhaps one day, I will adventure more different rivers as you do. If you ever want to float the Wood from our lodge to Nenana I'll trade you a night's stay for your stories.
@@christopherthorgesen902 Oh goodness, what an interesting and intriguing offer. Let me ponder on that...and confer with my partner. (Full disclosure - after this summer's trip, she has emphatically said, "No more float trips!") 😞
@@DevanatNorthernNoise - I am sure there were some tense moments. I know we had a few choice words being blurted out at times. I think at one point we said...we just need to get out alive.
I have done that float...man, that is no joke....! I would encourage anyone that even thinks this might be a a fun float - to really think twice. Adventure, yes! Fun, all in your definition of fun i guess. You absolutely have to have your head on a swivel at all times, Often you are forced to make a decision with less than a second to weigh the odds. Not trying to scare anyone away but that stretch will chew you up and spit you out without even blinking an eye. Devan, PM me...I would love to talk real-time and share stories. I was there July of 23.

Thanks for the kind words, Christopher. Since you enjoy the float videos, I'm sure you would enjoy doing a float of your own. ;-)

Indeed...not the most relaxing of floats.

You're right in your description of the Chili, @tmglvr. Also...I don't know how to PM through RUclips.
