One of the only RUclipsrs that actually show information that actually helps. Love your videos. So much information and several of the locations you've visited are on our list. Can't wait to try them all.
Splendid review of a very nice looking campground Jerry. So glad you shared and posted this place Appears to be quite big and with lots of openness, that's right up our alley to stay at and visit. I always enjoy seeing recommended campgrounds by you and Joan! Thanks again and be blessed Jerry!
Great vid of Stone Mountain Park...have spent many happy times here over the last 30 or so years with kids and family events....the park has grown so much...another great park west of Atlanta is Sweetwater Creek State in Lithia Springs, GA with trails and tons of history...this. one has also grown with camp sites and yurts...I am 2 miles from this State Park 😎
My son and I went to Stone Mountain back in 1982. We were on our way home from Charleston SC. My brother was in the Navy and we went there to visit him for a week. We stopped at Stone Mountain for a day and rode the train around it. Have a Merry Christmas.
Looking to visit this area and this was a great review of this campground! Great information on sites which are most important to us. Thanks Safe Travels
Hey Jerry - we were just there SAT-TUES before Thanksgiving. We live in Savannah, GA now but my wife and I both grew up very close to Stone Mountain - in Tucker. We brought our rig (own beds) with us to visit family and friends during thanksgiving week. We stayed in ORANGE section #9! We did Snow Mountain just after dark to see lights and lasers. We then moved to a park up in Cumming near my parents. Keep up great work on videos.
Hi Philip. It's a great option especially if you need to be in the metro area. We were coming back from a trip in the TN and North GA mountains. We had a couple of days of business in Atlanta and this was perfect to come back and escape from the hustle. They were just building Snow Mountain during our visit. Looked like it was going to be fun. We also enjoy the Savannah area. We sneak off to Skidaway every chance we get. Safe travels. Jerry...
Once again, great video and great campground review. I have yet to see one of the sites you review that we don't want to stay at. Some we already have stays booked and others, like this one, we will be booking soon. We look forward to your releases so keep travelling and videoing. We book our stays in advance and can usually get in to those we like.
Your videos are so well done. Great information! I live in Valdosta GA and have been to Stone Mountain by car. I’m in the middle of restoring a 1966 Roadrunner. Hope to be up and running in a month or so. I will definitely check out the RV park at SM! I hope they let restored canned hams into the park😬 Have a Merry Christmas 🎄
Hi Laura, Merry Christmas and thanks. I bet you're having so much fun with the restore. I didn't see any restrictions in our paperwork. We also saw a beautiful canned ham on our loop. Jerry...
I'm 200 miles from stone mountain I went this past summer camping there for three days it was the best camp for sure , I have a 5 th wheel beautiful sites there and where are you from ?
We really enjoyed the campground too. We were coming back from the mountains and had a couple of days of business near by. A perfect spot to escape back. For those few months we're home, we live in middle Georgia.
Hi Scott. We enjoyed the campground. What we liked was the variety in spaces from simple, no frills to premium with several steps in between. Plus it's a nice park with lots to see.
So grateful for the information you give on RV Parks. We are new and well we are not spring chickens anymore, so it good to know before you go. Happiness to you and your wife.
We always ask. We never ask for compensation. We also strive to run a positive site. There have been campgrounds that we didn't like for one reason or a other. If that happens we don't show. We do this because we enjoy the RV lifestyle and want to share the experience with others. Jerry...
I live by Stone Mountain Park, and the people I meet there are nice, when u get to the top, especially at sun down, its a beautiful view, i go there with my older sister, The lazer show is beautiful....even more when u get a good view, but I still dont understand why people put wads of gum in a huge stick.....is that what they are supposed to do.....or im just stupid
It was getting cold when we were there in November. They had finished the slopes and were making snow. Looked really fun. I saw the chewing gum too. Kinda weird.
Did they have the snow slope open? We had a great time in the wooded lots. We had business in Atlanta for 2 days that week. This was a great place to escape to.
Yeah snow mountain was in full swing! We were there as Alli's stepdad fell ill and was in ICU so we decided to make a camping trip out of it over Thanksgiving break. We had originally planned on the Florida Caverns but they were closed due to hurricane Michael damage. We've already booked a few days there again for spring break next year.
It's so nice to have some affordable travel options when family emergencies arrise. We too will have to make some health adjustments over the next month, but hopefully we'll be back on track late winter early spring. Visited your channel. Good work.
We had a code on our information sheet but didn't try it. We have an unlimited Verizon hotspot we typically use. Have fun. We enjoyed the campground. Jerry...
Hi Sherry. Much has changed in WR in 16 years. If you haven't been back, you wouldn't recognize. Bonaire and Kathline is now full of high-end homes. Watson Blvd is packed with businesses and restaurants from the interstate to 247. Plus when we're in town, this is where our favorite sushi restaurant is located. Jerry...
I stayed in premium sites in august 2018 . I wasn't very pleased with the campground . The gas grill was very nasty and the burners were burnt up could not use ! I told the office but no response . The yurks took what was once rv spots on the water . I will not go back !

I was wanting to take the kids to Stone Mountain I like the idea of tent camping while we are there
Hi Joseph. I didn't spend much time in the tent area, but it was quite large with a numbers of sites around the edge of the lake.
Looking to visit this area and this was a great review of this campground! Great information on sites which are most important to us. Thanks Safe Travels
Thanks. Hope you enjoy the area and campground.

Thanks! Yeah unfortunately Alli's step dad passed the night we got home. Was getting better but had a blood clot they think.
So sorry. Tough on the family this time of the year.
Good morning 👍 Kevin
Good morning
Jerry are you from GA and if so where?
Born in VA, but grew up in the middle part of the Peach State.

I live in Georgia I don’t want to camp 🏕 in Georgia seriously 😒 I can do that in my backyard
Check out more videos. I have quite a few outside of Georgia.
If you are lucky, you can see them filming scenes for tv shows. Stone Mt Park is a location used by a number of tv shows and major motion pictures.
Understand Tyler Perry’s studios now have tours. That would be a fun day.
It was once a Egyptian City
