Sheesh. Auburn fan here. Nearly 90% of these highlights are 50-50 balls to Reed or Coleman. Where is the separation? Was it bad offensive play calling? Nothing looks easy in these highlights. Makes me thing Robby Ashford has a chance to start.
Exactly what I noticed. I think he can be a solid QB but a lot of these highlights are the receivers fighting to get back to the ball. Hopefully this staff can help him improve his accuracy
I think that Payton game performance in this video ,but I am not sure if Payton can lead Auburn to secure a berth in the 2024 or 2025 national championship game.
Surprised he left MSU, but I think he felt the pressure for his starting position. Check his TD to INT ratio, it’s only 2:1. Also, loves to throw into double/triple coverage. If AU has a stout OL Thorne will get you through, If he’s making good decisions.

I don’t know about this guy. So far he’s throwing to whatever side of the field he’s looking at when he leaves the line. If I can see, I know coaches see it. Stick with Robby and the running style qb. I see a whole bunch of JJ in this dude.
I'm also disappointed by these highlights. There are so many 50-50 balls that go to one of two receivers (i.e., Reed, Coleman) that Thorne planned to throw to pre-snap. I assumed he'd start, but now I'm thinking Ashford has a real chance if he gets his head right.

Robby can’t make the easy throws. Haven’t had a good QB that could since Stidham.
