What is a Dharma battle? ~ with Julian Daizan Skinner

As someone who was brought up in the 1980s on a viewing diet of reruns of 'Monkey Magic' on BBC2, the term 'dharma battle' sometimes disappoints when actual flying kicks and staff fights don't occur.
I live in hope however.
