She is a very talented dancer, problem is these judges are clueless about Indian Classical dance , what a shame they can not appreciate her great talent and the beauty of her dance.

I am not Indian or specialist but it is obvious how hard this dance is and how great dancer she is!! This precision of movements, gestures, speed .I mean art is art. Who got eyes will see. I am watching this girl dance for an hour and can not stop! Dance is universal language of culture.

To introduce your culture to the people ignorant about it, one needs patience, be ready to educate, not be affected. And Svetlana totally nails that.

Any form of classical dance is the best because it involves a lot of discipline. It trains the muscles and gives them better control in a way that they can pull of any other kind of dance with just a little effort. In fact the grace and energy factor would be a lot more for a person trained in classical dancing.
So artful, full of expressions, the hand eyes and every movement coordinated perfectly...it mesmerized me..I wish I had taken up Indian classical dance when I was younger..my parents were not keen ...Hope you gals and guys if you have passion for dance, whchever culture you like,even if its not yours...just do it...go learn the dance...nothing will make you happier than dancing with passion to your heartbeat!!

It's not unusual for westerners to lack the understanding of traditional Indian dances and the myraid of coordination that it involves. Your dance, expressions and fluidity were exquisite. I think a song with faster tempo could have changed the panels view given their ignorance of the art form. Keep doing you thing Svetlana. You are a wonderful performing artist with awesome talent.
