Next month I will be 3 years in trading. It happened fast but I did put my head down and work hard. I am now actually ready to step into consistent profitability. I can't believe how much work I have put in to be "ready" for consistent profitability.
Most people have no idea (not an insult) how much is involved in successful trading.
Trading is a business.
Something I've concluded lately is that first you need to learn how to trade, then you need to learn how to be a trader.
Those two things are very different. One can be found in education and books, the other cannot.
Ignore either one and your fate is sealed.
Even though I'm not a 7 figure trader yet and "killing it," I'm going to celebrate my 3 year milestone next month for sure.
At 3 years I'm still a rookie, wet behind the ears. But I also have not quit on the battle, I have the bumps and bruises to prove it.
I refuse to be defeated.

3 years is about right. I started algo programming about 3 years ago and I finally have 3 profitable algos.

One of the biggest points is trading in accordance with your personality. You can have what you know is a great strategy but if it conflicts with your personality it's going to make trading 50x harder
Technical swing trader here. What has been taking me out lately are fundamental issues. Not getting the news in time before the charts moved dramatically. Are there any suggestions? For example, some news is on Twitter, and sources like Benzinga are 45 minutes late reporting what's going on. It's amazing how quickly your chart patterns break up with news. Seconds.

Jared, great lessons. It is taking longer, but ONLY because of my own mistakes of not getting out of a losing trade before it cratered. Still... I'm making money, because I'm not putting everything into one trade. I actually have kept some of my crappy trades (worth virtually NOTHING) just to remind me every day I am trading... avoid THIS crap mistake.
Needed to hear some inspiration to keep going, thanks for all you do Jared!!

Good afternoon. Ya got slaped today. I did not take the stop when I was suppose to still kept the loss manageable happy about that but frustrated keep not taking my stops were I should. Frustrated keep holding a loss even thow its a small loss but the losses are bigger that the profits so that's don't work. Trying to trade and work learn been trying learning trading 5 years good thing it's small losses but overall in red small just feal defeated

Dont know why ppl comment. Have a look. Do any of you see a reply from Jared? What does that tell you? He does not bother himself with comments. He posts then moves on because youtube is just a platform for his lesson to his paying students and they communicate with him from another media during the video. You all should be learning the lesson then chat together if you didnt understand any parts. You can help each other to understand or go it alone and just rewatch the parts you didnt comprehend until you do.
