- I opened the box and admired the TC Electronic Infinite Sample Sustainer. I then plugged it in for the time time without reading the instructions and played this piece. Ah...

Not that I don't like your voice, but I love the no-dialog format of these videos. The visual text is the perfect means of describing your thoughts on a pedal or method while allowing the music to just be the music. :)
Glad you liked it and thanks for the feedback!!!
Wow. I listened while hanging laundry, and soon the laundry was just something I do with my hands while I listen to beautiful music, and nod my head in enjoyment. Thank you for helping out with my chores!
Your voice so explanatory is perfect for me. And the way you present the products is gentle and calm, far far away from the screaming advertising way that many people do. I really appreciate your approach and I’ll always support you! 👍👍👍
I'm not shure why so many advertisers are screaming. When Bill talks (or plays), I listen.
Such a hauntingly gorgeous sound - I love it and I'm sure that I'm not alone in that.
Had a feeling you'd get this one, and I am so glad you did - looking forward to the review, and definitely entertaining this as my birthday gift in a couple weeks.
I'm probably about your age. I grew up listing to and appreciating all kinds of music. My Dad has a record collection of about 1000 classical records and was always playing them. I grew up learning piano and then switched to guitar. Anyway, I have always loved ambient music/ guitar, and your music is blissful/ euphoric. Thanks for sharing and for your reviews.
this guitar exists in the paradoxical position of being totally dorky but unquestionably cool at the same time
Love that description!! :-)
It’s.... pretty Rad
Very nice! I could listen to your playing for hours. Thanks for the nice journey.
I listened on a rainy morning on the way into the work. It made my morning way better
Wonderful way to show a great product. It sings. ⚡️
Your tone! So luscious and pristine! I thought after your video with the criticisms of that guitar that it might not stick around, but dang if it doesn’t sound like a keeper!
Sounds great as usual. Quality in hands
Now that's the face of a man in his element 😊
You make that pedal sing ! Now I want one !
I truly mean this in the highest of regards, but that is the first headless guitar I've seen that did NOT make me want to gag! Great video as wel and I am loving this pedal myself!
I was just about to make a sarcastic joke about the headless headstock lol the song is so beautiful it outweighs the appearance as it shouldnt matter what an instrument looks like or even is.. i make music on a app on my phone and it sometimes sounds as good as real synthisizers and i know it would be held with more weight if i used legit instruments besides free apps and "toy" instruments
I agree headless guitars can be cheesy looking because it’s often associated with mediocre pop from the 80s. But in reality they are the best because of their light weight and ergonomics. I might get one someday
@1:35 I didn't have any idea as to what RTFM meant. At first I thought 'Run Through the FX Mix' or something like that, since you were just trying the pedal alone in the beginning. Then I looked it up, and I laughed 😆 so relatable. Greetings from Sydney!
That was gorgeous.
Nice pedal, nice playing, nice theme and great new format for your videos. Thumbs up.
Awesome. The possibilities are profound! I know what my next purchase will be. Looking forward to the full demo.
Your playing is soothing. Beautiful...
Why is RUclips not recommending your channel now. Don’t know. Almost forgot about u. But here we are. Nice
The all encompassing sound, tone & drone takes the breath away & let's the mind drift, I was so relaxed at the end of it, didn't want it to stop.
Bravo sir!
LOL!
BEATUFULL PLAYING. Tam
It took me some time getting into this channel. When I did, I became addicted as this really looks at music from another viewpoint. Let's face it, the year is 2023 and in general, all there is 'out there' mimics the past or is just poor quality in composition and melody. 'Chords of Orion' attempts to delve into another dimension and I love the channel as equally for the originality and invention. Many thanks for all the video demos. It is rather like being given a new box of water-colour paints.
Dang Bill, that was Golden. Way to open up and just let the music Come Through. This is the very first video I have ever commented on, it was too good not to pay my respects.
Thanks very much!
WONDERFUL.
I love your tone and your song! 😍
Beautiful jam. Like the guitar.
Wow, your tone and playing are beautiful! Truly inspiring!
I always read through the entire manual before even touching the pedal. I just love manuals...
Ha, I was waiting. This video is the most inevitable on RUclips. Now lets watch it.
Really really loved this price!! I’d love to see it released on its own!
Superb improv, and very tempting pedal. Indeed, getting the most out of it will require Roasting The Funny Monkey. ^^
Ha! I always use the word "Fine" in the middle of the acronym. :-)
@@chordsoforion and this 80's dinosaur just found out RTFM is, already, outdated and has been replaced by JFGI (aka. Jennifer Furiously Giggled Inwardly....). Sigh
So love this music
Haha! When all else fails...RTFM! I NEVER do! The joy of discovery is too great. Gonna hook one of these up to my Strymon Big Sky and go "tripping"! Should be a hoot.
Mine is arriving today ! Looking forward to your full review! You make magic of any pedal!🙏🏻💗
That's awesome! Hope you enjoy it!
@@chordsoforion Thanks! Just arrived!
Beautiful piece.
Love your playing. Love your setup!
Yes, it is a familiar feeling to put that RTFM for later :)... But the sounds of the machine seem to make it worth reading that ... manual. And thanks for sharing!
Unbelievably beautiful!
BUEATFULL ???? BUEATYFULL???? GREAT SOUND Tam
This was beautiful!
That was awesome mate nice one
another jaw dropper Bill...
Dang son. That was sweet.
Sounds great. I need to add it to my rig!
This is beautiful. Well done 👍
Awesome. Thanks.
Well, you sold me, and after watching a few more videos as well as reading up on TC’s website, I purchased one for me and one for my brother-in-law. I will be playing with mine this weekend, but my b-in-law will have to wait until I ship his to him. Poor sod…
very nice, love the headless, although ive wondered if you could put something there instead of a headstock, like a glowing ball of RGB? or maybe even mount a pedal there and have that as your head stock, then you can twiddle knobs without bending over
The idea with headless guitars is to remove the weight from the end of the neck. A pedal would be a *lot* of weight, and a bunch of wiring issues. Playing the guitar occupies both hands.
Mine just came in too. I plugged it in, and wow I think they nailed it. It does exactly what I hoped it would do, and all with just one button. Beautiful pads below the leads, change chords when you want, and it fades gracefully when you let off. Much more natural sounding than the Freeze which I think is a bit artificial synthy sounding.
Very cool! Glad you are enjoying it as much as I am. :-)
Certainly is ethereal, really nice lines too..interested in learning more about this pedal too, especially if there are pedals that in your mind it compares to..thanks for the opener..
Yep I defenitly will get this💙👍🎸
I have listened hard to your inspired tune. The split capo and detuning of all strings (am I right?) makes for a great platform. Not only did I have to get the Infinite, but also a split capo! Great!
I really like TC pedals (I have three on my pedalboard 🤓), and the Infinite got my attention as the description made me think of my EHX Superego. I’ll probably keep the latter, but it’s definitely good to see another sample-sustain-type pedal become available. And of course, you make it sound good 👍🏻
congrats u are now a true legend with this step pedal do u think u could do another sound like this
Wow, I really like it.
Yet ANOTHER door to possibilities. 🙂
So beautiful and inspiring. I can almost hear a whispery Sting voice singing evocative words.
Just ordered with your link. Thanks. Love your channel.
Awesome! Thank you!
sick dude. sick.
When I saw this pedal I thought of you
Cool guitar man
I just learned what RTFM means, thanks!
Read the FINE manual 🙂
Even though they hate me over there, check out the old blood noise sunlight
Just realized... they might add this to the Plethora X5! That would be pretty epic.
ooh. yeah. I would dig that!
Wow!
YYoiu keep amazing me Bill, Tell me or us about the special rigget capo you got going on there. Once again thanks for the medimotionalmusic
Thanks Richard and nice to see ya! The capo is a partial capo. Here's a vid I did a while ago that discusses it (about halfway through): ruclips.net/video/1KtT1ICCO_I/видео.html
Yessss
Looking forward to your demo.
"Read The Fine Manual". There is a vulgar version too. :-)
Great! You got it 😊it's so awesome and offers a lot of possibilities. Unfortunately it's not available in France until one or two months... I'll have to wait!
This is so nice!
May i ask if this a delay pedal? as i saw other pedals within the video and not certain about this pedals' effect. Thank u!
It is a sustain / freeze pedal. Here's my actual demo of the pedal. Hopefully, will help show you exactly what it does: ruclips.net/video/_lLLww9oS08/видео.html
That guitar suits you well imo
FFS RTFM! (Just kidding, your playing here was sublime!
I just got this myself. Some cool features. I’ve used the freeze pedal for many years now, and always wished that I could get a longer fade after disengaging it which this pedal can achieve. There is a slight “tremolo“ kind of sound to it, which I have found more palatable when the level is adjusted. Did you find that troublesome on your end?
Wow! That segment was mind blowing! When are you dropping the Demo?
I am targeting Friday for the demo. Thanks!
I look forward to a full and frank review. But see here; I just looked up RTFM. I’ve been under the illusion that ‘RTFM’ was something Roman soldiers got tattooed on their arms. How embarrassing 😳. I hope, one day, that I will be able to look on the funny side of this and laugh…
I prefer RT FINE M. :-)
That was dreamy and challenging my vow to not buy a pedal this year...
Guitar Center and Musicians Friend must be owned by the same pocket. Looking at several categories on both sites I find similar results. Example: Looking for TC Electronics pedals...both sites show the same TC Cinders overdrive pedal as the only "new" TC pedal in inventory and everything else from that maker is used. Sweetwater is the only one to show all of the TC line up.
GC and MF are owned by the same company - Bain Capital.
@@nevets68 good to know. Got some equipment to buy for creating ambient, and now I know who the last man standing is. Gonna be dealing with Sweetwater.
Nice
Ha! Very nice.
I never rtfm. Until I get too frustrated. Great sounds
That guitar looks good on you 💌
It is very comfortable to play. :)
My brother docking with the Mother Ship.
Really nice! Sort of a take on the Freeze? Looks and sounds fantastic! Can't wait to see what you do with it.
I suspect so. As of this morning, I still have to read the manual. :-)
When you have to RTFM to know what RTFM means: priceless (and 'free').
Seems you dig that Ibanez after all 😀
It is much nicer with heavy strings tuned down to C# even though the 5 things still suck. :-)
so it's the TC Freeze
Serious question - why do you keep playing the guitar you panned when you reviewed it?
IMO, I don't think I panned the guitar. I said in that video that for the most part I really liked it - with the 5 "sucks" items excepted. And now that I have heavy strings and it is tuned down to C#, it's even better.
Opinions can and usually do change with either use or ownership. Just like when a new “Radiohead “ album come out it sounds wild then you understand it the second or third play
FUCKYES Bill is not using his volume pedal on this
Good one 👍
Nice!
Im trying to talk myself into ordering a mug for that one..
Sorry I'm going to go off topic to ask a question since this is your latest video. It's about the PLETHORA. I understand someone can use an expression pedal and control multiple parameters in all five pedals if he/she wants to. How unique is this to the PLETHORA? You have played with other MODERN multieffects, like the new LINE 6 and others.... can you control multiple virtual effects/pedals with one common expression pedal?
Maybe? TBH, I don't use an expression pedal all that often, so I don't always dig into the full expression pedal capabilities of a unit. But I can say that the POD Go allows one to assign multiple effects parameters to one expression pedal. So, it would follow then that the entire Helix line would be able to do so too.
@@chordsoforion LOL! I totally understand! THANKS for the responce! ...I'm not into multieffects.. I'm a songwriter with a physical pedalboard ... but I am starting to slowly realise how revolutionary it is to control multiple pedals with one expression. In the begginig it was just about creating cool momentary space sound effects ... but now I am broadening my scope: I realised that the PLETHORA atleast, with the amount of control it allows for 5! pedals and much more parameters, essentialy creates a board so integrated that it becomes a composit pedal/effect IMHO. In my physical pedal board, the tools around at the moment allow for control of up to 3 pedals with one expression pedal. If the HX Stomp has the control capabilities of the POD GO, with its' small size, It's easier to regard as one effect/pedal and insert it in a pedal board ...and even though they're not as integratable there are more pedals to integrate, than in the PLETHORA. So I'll take a peek at the HX Stomp manual to see what it can do. Thanks for stearing me in the right direction!
Read The Flipping Manual ?🤣
I had an EHX Freeze years ago, but didn't like it so much. This pedal looks like a Freeze on steroids.
Very tempting indeed.
Curious as to what you did not like about it? I have mine before my volume pedal so I can fade it in and out, thanks
Lol I have not “RTFM” I went to look it up and some lightbulb came on in my mind.
well I hope they'll add this one to plethora
indeed!
Hey!! You kept the Q!! Kind of surprised you didn't send it back. Or did you get one without the finish flaw(s) and loose knobs? Best Regards
No, I kept it. I am pretty sure that I mentioned that overall I liked the guitar and would be using it. I have to say that I like it a LOT better with heavy gauge strings tuned down to C#. ruclips.net/video/gTMpKWpxM1A/видео.html
👏👏👏👏👏👌👌
How does it compare to an ebow or a gamechanger audioplus?
What's the difference between this and EHX Freeze/SuperEgo?
