One of the best things in your tutorials is that when you encounter an issue or making a mistake, you correct it in real time, rather than making scripted and edited video. This is really helpful to newbies.
Props for breaking down the intended purpose of the Linux file system! I've been using Debian/Ubuntu distro's for many years, while everything was spoton of what I've learned in Linux OS anatomy.
Thanks for this video. As someone who has used windows my whole life. The most difficult thing about switching to linux is learning the file system, and where programs get installed ect.. Kinda tricky to learn coming from windows file system ha. I think im getting it tho.
I thought that /opt is used exclusivly to manual proprietory software installs while /usr/local/bin is the one used to put general manual installs, am i wrong?

12:23 i think `usr` means UNIX SYSTEM RESOURCES not users right ?
Very nice explaining. Only a little noting: /usr stands for Unix System Resources, a legacy of the old Unix systems...
/proc directory is also part of the kernel virtual filesystem and not a real directory in the sense of physical data in your harddrive.

Super nice video, very clear. Thank you very much!
Is /proc kernel virtual file system peculiar to Linux or is it a universal feature of any Unix style operating system?
