I can't believe it... I'm almost 3 decades on this planet, not able to whistle. Suisei says to place your tongue behind your teeth. I give it a shot. Succeed first try. Thank you Suisei! Edit: It's been 2 minutes. I already lost the ability to whistle.
people give all sorts of weird advice, the thing that worked for me as a kid was using a straw. It gives your mouth the precise shape you need to produce the sound, after that just put pass air through it
Yeah the wiki about whistling is pretty flawed but the real technique is to compress your cheeks and do a sort of kissing face, then your tongue should stick to the bottom front of the back of your teeth. When you blow your mouth, you will hear a very low pitch, just keep adjusting your mouth to make that pitch even higher and you have achieved your peak whistle
@@thisismenchi I have no idea who tf decided to tell the world that's how you whistle. How tf can the air get out of your mouth if you cover the cavity with your tongue????
I mean I can whistle as suisei does (kinda controlling the pitch with the shape / precise location of the tip of my tongue it's kinda in almost a bowl shape with the air passing between the gums of my teeth and the tongue), not actually touching the teeth with the tongue will likely help a lot, but yeah as someone else said slightly convex your cheeks and form the lips into something close to a kissing pose (like for pecks on the cheek), but leave an open hole roughly the size of a drinking straw.. hard to explain how to adjust the pitch as it is a second nature auto function to me.. another way I just found out I can whistle is really similar with the second method, but sticking out the bottom lip and overall not as pointy a mouth shape.. I feel it's easier to hit higher notes with that one then there's bottle whistling which is roughly second method slightly less pointy and convex the bottom lip with the outer rim of the bottle
to anyone who stumbles upon this comment, let me teach you how to whistle by blowing. form your mouth to an o shape. now this is the part most people don't get: crook the tip of your tongue up. if you do it right, blowing should give a whistling sound. not sounding? try stuff like raising the tip more or lowering the body of your tongue or adjusting your mouth's shape. blowing harder doesn't help. now enjoy. from, a person who initially didn't know how to whistle
It's not a must to have your tongue behind teeth or whatever. There's different methods, but perching your lips to make a tiny hole is enough. I also put my tongue behind lips to make different sounds and notes. But that's not the tip only, you vary it depending if it's a higher or lower note.
i pull my tongue back to the roof of my mouth, purse my lips, and can whistle perfectly… is this not proper technique?😂 and moving my tongue back and forth i can easily change the pitch and vibration. seriously is this not how everyone does it?😂😂
0:17 I know that the general point of the viewer comment is exposing that Suisei can't whistle, but is this specific bit an elaborate flat joke or is it just me?
As someone who still can't whistle for my life, I feel so validated my oshi can't do it too xD
Same 😭
Don't worry homie, I can't too.
I can't whistle either.
I don't know if it's just me...but I can't whistle by blowing air out but I can whistle by sucking air in
@@asnad59 yeah I can kinda make a whistle noise that way too
Your art really elevates the conversation, I love it!

Such a strong wind blow.🤣
1:04 I laughed at the first leaf representation but this killed me lol
I tried to whistle along with the clip and realized that I can't. The disease is spreading.
Cutest whistle ever.
What an adorable wind noise xD

Ah yes, the discovery of another KettleTuber
The one thing Suisei could end up being able to do is make kettle noises
I am now imagining Suisei as the killer in Twisted Nerve during that one stalking scene and it's hilarious.
I can whistle while breathing in but doing it while breathing out is somehow still incomprehensible to me.

Sui-chan tea reminder service, by making kettle sounds!
from personal experience learning how to whistle comes from absolute boredom and just feeling it out
I actually learned how to whistle in my dream, i woke up and remembered how to do it 😂

very cute sui-chan whistling like a pro genius prodigy!
Now I really want to upload whistling covers of her songs
I tried but can't make the kettle sound. A certain Kaiju with her natural laugh:"Oh yeah it is kettle time"
today is windy too 🤣
my tongue only touches my molars(?) when I whistle. The tip of my tongue isn't touching my teeth at all. That online thing sui-tyan read was bunk
Funny I can whistle in about 8 different ways.
The shape of your gums can affect your ability to whistle, I wonder if that's the case for Suisei.
I know this pain, I swear my tongue is just the wrong shape or something because no matter how many tip people give me I just can't.
The tongue regulates the pitch, your cheek-space and air controls is how you amplify the whistle.

Different strokes and all that, but I don't stick my tongue to the back of my teeth. It just kind of floats in my mouth.
