At 26:35 I cried. Zazak Allah, Shaykh for presenting a balanced analysis. However, if anyone ever supported, sympathised or empathised with Yazid, then that individual is ill-informed and can be confused or even be deluded. The Ahlul Bayt, the most beloved to the Prophet (SAW) can never be insulted or criticised.

If the brutal killing of Imam Husain (a.s) is a historical event only then what about the selection of the caliphate took place in Saqifa Saeda took place. So if any sect of Islam do not believe in the caliphate of Abu Bakr based on a historical event not a theological event then why that group amongst ummah are always been tortured and killed by both Banu Umaiyyed and Banu Abbas rulers?

If our religion is divine and history is human, why does Quran refer to so many historical events that have Divine influence to them? All the historical events of prophets, Suleman, Yunus, Noah, Moses and the list goes on. All of these discuss Divine involvement. How can you separate religion and history, I’m confused. That’s like saying the people of Lot acting the way they did in an indecent manner is “history is human” but religion is something totally different and has nothing to do with that.

@@zakisadiq8963 well questioned! History is to be learned from and that is why Allah is always pointing to the historical situations. He wants us to learn how to be or not to be and also to remember that He watches everyone and everything; His power is sublime and His wrath not worth asking for.
Human beings however do not learn from history; and actually end up worshiping historical figures rather than the One True Lord. Had Muslims learned from the history of Bani Israel then we wouldn’t be in the kind of world that we are in.

In the beginning it is said after Karbala massacre caravan in chain went to Yazid and granddaughter of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) gave the whole khutbah/speech in front of Yazeed and son of Imam Hussain (pbuh) gave the khutbah too. Please read those khutbahs.
Not Theologian incident rather political. Well said Sir. My duty as a Muslim is to show the light of truth to my brothers and sisters without taking side of Shia or Sunni perspective. Here I believe it’s a theologian. Yazid has mentioned in his court today I have taken revenge for my forefathers.
    1) Imam Hussain is the one who is the master of heaven and yet it is political.
    2) That Imam Hussain to whom Prophet(pbuh) did not got off the Sajdah until Imam got out from Prophet’s back(pbuh). This act portrays the importance of imam Hussain.
    3) that imam Hussain to whom prophet said he is part of me and I am part of him. A part of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) a master of Heaven was killed in humanely.yet it is historical event and not Islamic event
    4) That Hussain (pbuh) upon his birth a prophecy came hadith narrated by Ummahatul moimineen Umm e Salama and more. This Hadith states that Angel Jibraeel came and told the death of Imam Hussain (pbuh) to prophet (pbuh) and the Prophet (pbuh) cried upon hearing this. Yet it’s historical?
    5) every muslim in every prayer have to send salaam to prophet and his progeny (example Durood e ibrahimi) yet it is historical and not Islamic. May Allah guide everyone and Allah knows the best. I tried to shower light so that every Muslim as it duty should ponder upon and know the truth.

Today in India when the killers and xapists of Muslims are released form prison and garlanded by politicians for the sake of votes, we blame the ruling party for the crimes of those killers and xapists. We blame them 100%. It would be disingenuous for us to give any less blame to yazid after he failed to punish the culprits and even left the main politician with his titles, power and pelf.

Just goes to show that everyone is different and will be judged according to their own actions. She was a great women and her son turned out to be a Tyrant.

If y are aware of Hadith where rasulullah ASWS was asked from his companion : when begin education of a kid ( or kids) !
Rasulullah replied 20 ~ 25 years before his birth !
This hints parents should be educated first .
A question you should ask to yourself to have more clarity is who ordered or has finger in killing of beloved companion and Khalifa uthman ibn affan !
This crime was intentionally to blame Ali ra ... We saw brutal fight between companions . So there were munafiks Incorporated inside companions .
I will mention what abu bakr and what umar said about Sufyan father of Muawiya, they said that they don't have fully trust in his repentance. We have seen what happen to uthman then Ali and how yazid destroyed khilafat.
      Mission completed.
However we r Muslim and we don't need worldly gains alhamdulilah.

I applaud this attempt to show some diversity of perspectives about this crucial issue often ignored. It is quite surprising to me that Muslims would believe that groups who put their utmost effort to stop and destroy the emergence of the Divine growth of Islam during the holy Prophet alayhi salaam's life would suddenly stop after he left this world. Imam Hussein represents the light, breath, honor, truth and continuation of Islam and it's greatness. Hussain is a glowing figure of Islam's glory. Anything that comes close into the realm of killing off Truth/beauty/glory/honor/ ISLAM should be utterly condemned, cursed, rejected, separated from, bara'aaa.... there should be no doubt. Forget exonerating Yazid, Muawiyya gets the blame too after his unilateral move of taking Sham from Ali bin abu Twalib Khilafa, this was the pivotal point of Division in the Umma. Lest we forget the battle of Siffin was the first major Fitna in this Umma.
Muawiyya later handpicked his son to the throne despite his lack of knowledge & practice of Deen & thus setting the precedence of Father Son Dynasty or Tyranny in Muslim world hitherto.

Jamal was the first major fitna war and Siffin came up next! Saqifah which is often portrayed as an election rather than a punch-up by three vs the Ansar is also one of the fitnas. We need to read history for what it is and not just rely upon our emotional beliefs. We all have to die one day and meet Allah one day. We cannot say I heard so and so say this and so I followed their version! Allah says in Surah Yaseen that they will call upon those that they associated with me and they will not be answered.

Unfortunately we give free pass to Companion of Prophet inspite them doing greatest crimes. Eg Walid bin Kalid who killed a Tribal Chief and raped his beautiful
wife (after the death of our beloved prophet).
He was forcing people to pay zakat to first khaliph (so was loved by ignorant masses)
Same situation is being used today saying when you become Muslim all your sins are forgiven.
That means a non-Muslim (eg Hindu) rapes & kill 100s of women ( including Muslim women) in India & Pakistan their Sins are forgiven once they recite Shahada in Arabic in Front Dr. Zakir Naik .
As Muslim from minority branch we believe only sin committed to Allah is forgiven not against his creation.
      Otherwise we have unjust GOD.
This is political Islam and not spiritual Islam.

@@farjana7202 I just wanted to say that Imam Hussein AS did not go to Kufa only because he was invited. Kufa was one of the many stops he intended to make. If his final destination was Kufa, he wouldn't have went to Makkah after leaving Medina but would have gone straight to Kufa. He went to Makkah to assess the situation and see the state of the muslims there. He had already seen that people in Medina had been subjugated and no one was willing to stand up for the truth. He saw the same in Makkah, also there was danger to his life in Makkah as well since Yazids forces were coming to attack him. He was planning on launching a campaign where he would go to multiple towns and cities and gather up support peacefully. Eventually it would reach a point of physical retaliation but it never reached that point. He did not draw out his sword until the tyrants against him took out their swords at karbala.
