What wonderful, wonderful singing quality Engerer had! I'm also drawn very much by the grace of deportment both these artists bring to the stage along with warmth of communication. Berezovsky I know from some extraordinarily virtuosic Liszt - physically/technically there doesn't seem to be anything that he can't do - yet I am impressed by an extra dimension of subtlety happening here in partnership. I'm aware that he studied with another great, great pianist, Eliso Virsaladse, and it's nice to see that the Moscow connection with Engerer (she studied there for ten years) produced some friendships.
