This is my absolute favorite video of this song. Simply because it tells and shows all the comments and reactions of the audience,other contestants and of course Dimash and his Dad. He ended up staying g in China for 3 years & did loads of work there including releasing an album that went platinum within minutes of being released. China loves him & he holds his Chinese Dears close to his heart. Another great reaction 👏 😆
Dimash is very close to his family. He was 23 here and found himself really homesick while he was in China. When he first started on the 2017 Singer show he didn't realise he would need to be away from his home and family, continuously, for something like 4 months, to keep competing right to the end, and his family had their own work commitments back in Kazakhstan. The pressure was huge and kept escalating, week by week, and Dimash is a perfectionist, so the pressure he placed on himself was even greater. During this time he had the shock and adjustment of suddenly finding himself a 'megastar' with hundreds of millions of besotted fans and needing security wherever he went. He was also occasionally unwell and at one point lost his voice just before a performance. Even though he was already an experienced performer, this was his 'forged in the fire' breakthrough period, not only in China, but, as we all now know; to a much broader International audience. Dimash went to China by himself. His father there was a surprise. I don’t know the terminology Dimash used for his parents but his grandparents raised him as is custom for the eldest child. His grandmother heard he had perfect pitch and enrolled him in the academy of music at the university at 5 yrs old. Dimash started his career at 2 years old as. His bio in wikipedia reports.
