De Niro is reportedly a quiet, reflective guy off screen but the table read for this would have been fantastic to watch.
I can't remember what talk show she was on but she told this story about how they would give each other gifts back and fourth. She also mention how classy he was in all the scenes that where basicly like them doing it lol I honestly thought I was going to hate this movie, but they both made it for me.

Wedding Crashers, Bridesmaids and virtually every comedy Jim Carrey has made have moved the goalposts, even if the prude in me still thinks they went too far with the discussion about a Mexican girl and a horse at the start of 40-Year Old Virgin.

To anybody who hasn't seen this movie.
This is easily the one movie that's sure to get you laughing your ass off. Robert carried this movie and seeing a former disney star in this was the icing on the cake. I remember watching this with my folks and we could not stop laughing. First time I saw this I was on the floor trying to catch my breath. the whole thing is a comedic masterpiece.

@@stephenr80 I dont know man, when I was a waiter thats exactly how I liked my customers. Easy, heres your money kind of guy. No small talk, no awkward silences waiting for the customer to tell you if they want the check or water or whatever. Straight and to the point.
And remember he thinks she is the waitress. So he treated her like a waitress. And she didn't clarify she wasn't a waitress nor say who she was. The most she said was "No no no. Im not. I" then she stole his money.
If the writers wanted to make him out to be a very busy bee, too into his work to enjoy life that they wanted to portray him as, they would of let her explain herself more then have her take his money. A good line of dialog would of been if she said who she was. He would said "uh huh" She would say another truth like "we went to school together" And he would distractingly say "o thats interesting." Then she would say "im going to take your money" Then he would say "you have been amazing. have a great day" Then have her take his money, that would of been funnier and shown both personalities of the characters better. It would of shown how his focus on his work makes him miss opportunities like meeting an old so and so and his focus blinds him to the point of basically giving consent to be robbed. While she would show a fun witty side but also a side where being ignored has consequences and she aint afraid to hand deliver those consequences.
All in all, the way they set up the scene, he was not being rude.
If you don't make eye contact with your waiter, you're being really fucking rude.

Robert De Niro is really funny here. I remember seeing him in Meet the Parents and was really surprised that he could play comedy. But he does it very well.
Always been funny. Even as dark a flick as Taxi Driver is, he is funny in it during a lot of scenes. Darkly funny, but still funny. That movie turned 45 this year.

They do that recently. They gave King of Monsters a bad review when I loved it. I loved it more than endgame and I've been a marvel fan ever since Iron Man came out. If I had a choice between rewatching Endgame or KoM ten times in a row non stop I'd kick endgame to the curb and watch KoM without hesitation. That's how good it was for me.
