Failing to target the right influencers can have a detrimental impact on a brand. Influencers possess the power to shape public opinion, drive consumer behavior, and amplify brand messaging to their dedicated followers. If a brand aligns itself with influencers who don't resonate with their target audience or have conflicting values, it can damage the brand's reputation and credibility. The wrong influencers may deliver inconsistent messaging, resulting in confusion among consumers and dilution of the brand's identity. Additionally, partnering with influencers who lack authenticity or engage in questionable practices can lead to negative associations, eroding consumer trust and loyalty. Consequently, a brand's image, sales, and market position can suffer when it overlooks the importance of targeting the right influencers. Here is the video How To Kill Your Brand In 5 Seconds!

      I personally strongly disagree.
Something to consider: not all people who identify as women on the inside were lucky enough for the genitalia they were born with to match that identity. An intersex person might identify as a woman. A trans person might identify as a woman. These are equally real people that also deserve to see themselves represented in media. Shifting toward more equal representation does not erase women whose genitals match their identity. Anyone who identifies as a woman is an ally. There is space for everyone.
Seeing something as traditionally unconventional as someone with male genitalia modeling a woman's swimsuit can be surprising and even jarring because it typically goes unrepresented so it feels new and unfamiliar, but it can also be an opportunity to see other people that may have been invisible to you before.

This is the way I look at this problem.
I have no problem with being respectful in general. My problem simply stems from the fact that there are many people out there (and this is not all but many) are screaming for attention, respect, acknowledgement. Yet these same people refuse to give respect to women when we ask for it.
ie If we say that the word "Cis" offends, they don't respect that they just continue to push their agenda. They continue to use offensive terms like chest feeding and birthing person and bleeder. Then woe betide anyone who doesn't just automatically guess thier complicated and weird pronouns.
This is all just a huge symptom of a mental health crisis that has been fostered by our country.

The sad truth of the "models" being used in these campaigns is that it perpetuates the stereotype of the high fashion industry as well. High fashion models essentially look like these men, no breasts, no hips, no curves, causing eating disorders and self esteem issues merrily along the way. Follow the money trail on that and see who has the power. If Adidas truly wanted to be "woke" they would unabashedly create a swimwear line for transgender women and leave their womens swimsuits to be represented by women.

I am a short woman who is 5' tall and in the larger clothing size range of Petites. Clothing choices are extremely limited and getting more so as some brands seem to be eliminating their petite sizing. It's hard enough to figure out what clothing will look like on me when they use women models who are at least 5'9" and a size XS or S but now I need to take into account that it's a man modeling the clothes? Omg, soon my only option will be a short bath robe! This is getting ridiculous.

Merci, Frédérique ! I always thought that the erasure and silencing of women would only come from the eastern part of the world. Now, it seems to come from the western part!?!?! I'm a French woman living in Germany. In the past weeks, I learned a lot about "woke", transgenders competing in female sports, ... It's quite new in Europe. I'm shocked!!! We are here still fighting against men to have the same rights, salaries, ... And now this happens!?!? But WE the women represent -at least- the half of the world's population. What about OUR inclusion ??? What about OUR rights, feelings, expectations, ...??? I feel that WE are becoming a minority because our space (especially our safe space) has continuously been downsized in the recent time. I don't understand these companies. But I don't understand these trans women neither. They're expecting from us to be kind and supportive. But they are making women looking ridiculous. To be a woman doesn't mean just having long hair and breasts, wearing dresses and makeup, ... That's a caricature! Inclusion, respect and understanding are NOT a one-way street!!!! To mocke and alienate women is surely not the best way to reach their goal.

Controversial topic! But very important to be aware of at the same time. Brands are really “shooting themselves in the foot” by undermining REAL women with these (still essentially male) influencers. Do they really think that ACTUAL women want to be sold things by non-female people? I personally won’t purchase any of these brands ever again. Thanks for talking about it Frederique as always very interesting!

I see so many male models posing as women for clothing store's websites. Such as H&M, Banana Republic and many others. I want to see women's clothes on a female model to have an idea of how the clothes will fit me, not on a male's body. They simply don't have the same shape or curves as us. It's infuriating.

Frederique, you are extraordinarily brave!! Thank you so much for tackling this on your channel - I agree with your opinion (I would NEVER buy a tampon endorsed by a middle aged man, for heavens sake - in fact, I’m not buying anything or supporting anything that is shoved down my throat by this PC nonsense), you are logical and passionate too, and you express yourself in an organised and thorough manner. I am so tired of being treated as if we are stupid, and can be bullied by MEN. I have no problem sharing a bathroom with genuinely trans-women, and I would go out of my way to ensure they feel comfortable and part of the crowd, but don’t try to bully me into sharing women’s spaces with overtly masculine people who are playing at being trans - women’s safety comes first. If a man makes no attempt to transition, he isn’t trans, IMO (trans women want to “pass” and will go to amazing lengths to achieve this). If the woke mob comes for you, I will stand by you 🙏❤️❤️

I am very much a you be you type person.
What concerns me most about all these companies using trans-women to market women’s clothing is that skeletaly and muscularly XX and XY are different.
Most girls and women are not going to have the physique of transwomen.
My fear is an uptick in eating disorders in younger women and emotional issues from body dismorphia.
Very sad. I know that I was born with curves and blue jeans never fit me until they started putting stretch in them.

I appreciate your thoughts and the outpouring of feedback. I generally wouldn’t reply, but I’m struggling with the fact that so many people are expressing that to give something to one group means taking away from another. I’m a woman in my 40s and feel no less seen or erased by giving others recognition. I think, as in every quest for any cause or rights, there will be many who harm the cause by not understanding the consequences of their rhetoric or behavior. Even as women, in our fight to regain and hold the line on our rights, some of us who take extreme positions harm the cause. Equality is not pie, and there is enough for everyone. As a society we have to start facing uncomfortable conversations not assuming someone is trying to take something from us and not asking the govt to govern personal beliefs or morality - that ends poorly for all of us.. Remember, our right to vote and the civil rights movement were met with similar and more vehement violence, but we all, through struggle, evolved to a better place. I hope someday we can get back to live and let live. Please don’t let your perception of a few very vocal and visible people in a community be representative of the whole community and let them create hate in your heart. Assuming the worst about entire communities of people makes our world a worse place. Bad people should be punished, absolutely. And good people should have our support. Every human has a story and we should know it before we assume the worst.

No, many of us are watching what is going on with as much disbelief as you have but feel powerless to stop it because it's being pushed on us from every angle, pretty much from birth nowadays. Aside from disconnecting completely - which isn't possible for most - there doesn't seem to be anyway to escape the onslaught....working in higher education myself, I see the indoctrination going on there with most young people - including professors - accepting that listing 'their pronouns' is normal. In truth, the indoctrination starts so young now that by the time people reach college, the damage is pretty much done...
