This is a massively important piece of archive which is guaranteed to be great interest to many many jazz musicians and beyond!! You have done us a great service. The quality is very good for study/transcription etc Thank you so much for posting it.... and I hope it doesnt get taken down. What I love about this is it is filmed old style documentary editing with long sequences of the camera on his hands. Significant that all the sequences except for 'My Song' show the outrageously funky unique style to Jarrett that you can hear at its peak inspiration on the solo album "Facing You" but to hear these snippets of this element of his piano style is a real treat of great interest. I would love to hear/see the original clips with no editing. Though this may be a pipe dream as so many of those Southbank Shows were lost or considered not that worth keeping. Someone needs to go back and collect this treasure - your video Karel may be the only example of it, but let's hope it causes others with necessary access to get hold of the precious originals. ( I discovered 'Mourning of a Star' in the Holborn Library c.1974 and have been deeply influenced ever since. Heard him live for the first time at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane in London December 1977 and many times over the years at the Royal Festival Hall solo/trio).
Ok funny but RUclips's copyright algorithms identified the program when I uploaded it... It's an episode of "The South Bank Show" (broadcast June 17, 1979 on ITV says the internet)
I've noticed that some Swedes, Danes or Norwegians, if they've grown up speaking a lot of English, can have a British sound when speaking. Very pleasant. And I'll bet these same people know their "there, their, they're's", and "to and too's" and "then and than's" much better than the average Yank!
In your description, when you write "However I can't seem to find ANYTHING about this program" - not sure if you mean _besides_ RUclips, but there's an (old) upload of this clip already - video ID "a-kznTN66Ho". Might be worth commenting there or messaging the uploader directly. *Edit:* oops - just saw you commented there already.
Precious "My Song". Thank you Keith for you legacy to music in our time!
Thanks for sharing this!

I have no idea or expertise to share in reference to your request but I want to thank you for taking the time to do this and putting it up on RUclips.

PS - as a Brit, the presenter definitely sounds English to me.
