Not usually.

it depends on how well you do your research!! BU doesn't directly give any picture of what your dorm might look like but there's sites like ratemydorm and also RUclips to help you get a good gist of what your dorm would look like.

When I studied in the UK I didn’t get to see my room before I moved in. But I got my place through cleaning so it was last minute and I had to take what I got. Some of the others living in my apartment definitely picked it and probably had a tour of campus before hand.

sometimes the college provides a floor plan or a virtual tour but you dont usually see it before
