Never dove from a boat before? There's a first time for anything! If you HAVE dove from a boat before perhaps there's one or two tips in here for you. Kona Honu Divers offers a top notch experience on our premium boats. We want you to love your time on the water with us. We make it easy so you can spend less time worrying and more time enjoying the trip.
If you're able to sink "a few feet" you do NOT need more weight; as you descend, your suit will compress, and you'll become progressively less buoyant. A proper weight check should have you floating at about eye level with a full tank, or chin level at the end of a dive. (That's a difference of about five pounds of air for a typical diver on a typical dive.)

How much air should one have in their lungs?
@@Konahonudivers A normal breath; neither fully exhaled nor deeply inhaled.
