If you haven't read the full letter from Captain Wentworth to Anne in Jane Austen's Persuasion, please do. It's the most romantic letter ever. And this is the more mature Jane Austen. This is almost at the end of her short life. You can tell in Persuasion that the characters are also more mature, more "weathered" in terms of their outlook on love. Which makes the letter more romantic.
I agree. I loved it especially in the 1995 film of Persuasion! One of my rewatched movies during the month long wait for Bridgerton S3 Part 2.
@@givemebackmybias1457 it's currently on Tubi (if youre in the US)!!! I know a lot of people hate that circus passing by at the end, but I love it! And omg Ciaran Hinds voice reading the letter. It's an almost perfect adaptation of the novel (and I'm still hoping that we get the Sarah Snook version before she becomes "too old" or too busy to film it)
