I am just quoting John who says of Jesus that He is full of grace and truth... Not sure what you are trying to say, but I appreciate the conversation. Thank you!
God chose the Israelite and prepared them for the coming of the Messiah. “For you [Israel] are a people holy to the Lord your God. The Lord your God has chosen you out of all the peoples on the face of the earth to be his people, his treasured possession” (Deuteronomy 7:6) Similarly, Mary was also chosen and prepared to give birth to the Messiah. Luke 1:46-49 My soul proclaims the greatness of the Lord, my spirit rejoices in God my Savior for he has looked with favor on his lowly servant. From this day all generations will call me blessed: the Almighty has done great things for me, and holy is his Name. By the way, Mary was the first recorded person in the New Testament to use those words “God my Savior.” The Catholic Church teaches that Mary was in need of salvation but hers came earlier. Why would God not prepare her for such an important role? Everything works according to God’s plan even though it may not make sense to us. For instance, Romans 11:25-26, “I do not want you to be unaware of this mystery, brothers, so that you will not become wise in your own estimation: a hardening has come upon Israel in part, until the full number of the Gentiles comes in, and thus ALL ISRAEL WILL BE SAVED ……..” According to this passage, All Israel will be saved. Why does the conversion of all Israel to Christ come later? Why couldn’t it just happen at the time of Christ? Why were they hardened?
Thank you for your thoughtful response! Having said that, the Scriptures don't explicitly teach that Mary was sinless. This is something that even the Roman Catholic Church acknowledges. They try and use the two passages I referenced in the video above, but again I think it is a stretch to say that they support the Immaculate Conception. I am not quite sure what you are trying to point out regarding Israel. Please feel free to elaborate a bit more, and I will do my best to respond. The first thing which comes to mind is that Paul laments the spiritual blindness of his Jewish friends and even says that he wishes he could be accursed for the sake of them.
@@timelessdevotionals Thanks for your response. In Romans 11 Paul tells us that initially there was a remnant of Jews who were saved at the beginning of Christianity. Paul also says that the full conversion of the Jews was delayed until the full number of Gentiles gets in. After that ALL THE OTHER JEWS WILL BE SAVED. This is the mystery that he describes in Romans 11:25-26. My point here is that if God can delay the conversion of all of Israel to Christianity for the sake of the Gentiles, He can also Save Mary earlier to bring Salvation to all. If I may ask, where did Jesus get his body? If Jesus was given his body by Mary, did the body need to be cleansed of the original sin first before he used it? If that is the case, did Jesus need to be saved first in order for him to save humanity? Or If Jesus did not get his body from Mary and instead received a new body, how can Jesus claim to be human when his body did not come from a human person? Catholics agree with you that the Immaculate Conception is not explicitly shown in Scripture but that doesn't mean that it isn't there. I have one more passage to share. 1 Kings 18:44, “And the seventh time the youth reported, there is a cloud as small as a man’s hand rising from the sea. Elijah said, Go and say to Ahab, Harness up and go down the mountain before the rain stops you.” The small cloud is a type of Mary. It rises from the sea. Similarly, Mary was lifted from the human race. The cloud brings about relief to the Israelites by providing rain. Mary brings about salvation through her son Jesus. I am certain that you know of Schools or Churches named, Our Lady of Mount Carmel. This title of Mary comes from the Old Testament. There is also a Catholic Order called Carmelites. Their order is associated with Elijah. I know that I can't provide a Scripture passage that will convince you but for those who already believe it is easy to see.
Thank you Peter for your replies and engagement with my content. I had never heard that argument before, but I now make the connection to those church names. I think the arguments are ultimately going to come down to our views on continuing revelation vs. Sola Scriptura. There are other discussions about hermeneutics and how to recognize types in the Scriptures. I am not sure when I will upload another video like this... But judging by the reactions and engagement, I might consider doing a video on Sola Scriptura. Please feel free to continue the dialogue. If I post future videos on Catholic doctrines, please feel free to chime in. Thank you so much for your support to this channel. It means a lot! Shalom!
I was raised Catholic… went to catholic school. Once I got saved and started reading and studying my Bible ( we never studied bible as Catholics… go figure ) I became aware the Bible never says to pray to ‘ saints’. We are to pray to God the father . All believers are saints… not just people the Catholic Church says are saints 😂 And praying the rosary… where did that come from. Mary was NOT BORN SINLESS. Mary did not die a Virgin. Mary and Joseph had other children who were half brothers and sisters of Jesus. We should NOT be praying to Mary. The King James Holy Bible is the best Bible to study . God bless you all. Read your Bible !!
Thank you for sharing your story! My mom has a very similar testimony. She was a devout Catholic and prayed the rosary. She started reading her Bible and got saved and even confronted her priest! May we all be good Bereans! God bless!
Appreciate your correcting yourself, Phil! Love your videos. Always stay humble.
Thank you, Chad! God bless!

Hello there! Thank you for your comments. Just out of curiosity, how would you define a saint according to Scripture?
God chose the Israelite and prepared them for the coming of the Messiah. “For you [Israel] are a people holy to the Lord your God. The Lord your God has chosen you out of all the peoples on the face of the earth to be his people, his treasured possession” (Deuteronomy 7:6)
Similarly, Mary was also chosen and prepared to give birth to the Messiah. Luke 1:46-49
My soul proclaims the greatness of the Lord,
my spirit rejoices in God my Savior
for he has looked with favor on his lowly servant.
From this day all generations will call me blessed:
the Almighty has done great things for me,
and holy is his Name.
