    Ty for casting this one dahv this one is among my favourites.
    So ye the naked dragon slayers are 600 gold each which probably makes them the most cost effective hero in the game, I've never not gotten value with them so far
    700 gold baseline gyros are my new favourite unit. Arguably they should be banned in some matchups. 4 of them will do more dmg than a thunderbarge and are harder to kill, and can also do charges which is both hilarious and cost effective. Rear charges inflict the "faster and stronger enemies nearby" as well as the "attacked in the rear" leadership debuff which can rout a wavering unit easily. The best part is their nigh infinite ammo so if only one gyro remains their getting the value for the rest of the pack. It brings a tear to my eye I tell ya what.

    I like the Gyro-change just because it looks cool. Rule of Cool is just as valid as MP effectiveness.

    Gotta love the very rare rune tech there! He was running the rune of hearth and home which kept restoring vigor in an AoE, making the lord, dragon slayers, and hammers basically perfect vigor.

    I was a proponent of the entity increase for gyros, so I definitely like it. My only very minor gripes are I wish they'd gone for 10 rather than 12 entities (same as Teradons), and that they'd functionally kept the old brimstone guns and single entity bomber as RoRs

    I honestly liked the copter changes. My only problem with them is their incredible clunkiness. They take ages to get into formation and will often just cancel fire orders because they seem to get stuck in themselves and think that they can't get there.

    I have been running a full Slayer army in my last couple games and it has worked wonders. Won all the matches with this funny army comp.
    Basically Ungrim, Garagrim, 2 goblin hewers, 2 slayers, 1 dragon back slayers, 2 slayer pirates and 2 Doomseekers.

    Using gyro in melee? That mad lad made my day! But isnt using their bombs then going in melee would be better?

      maybe its to avoid being shot as they drop the bombs?

      @@MusMasi ye but instead of charging in melee you can bomb then charge which would take 4-5 seconds max. bombs could get a good chuck of hp

      Hi, I'm the one who sent the replay in. It would've certainly be better but the micro needed to line up the bombs on all 4 separated gyros and then bomb would've taken too long. By the time the bombs go off they would've just routed

    The gyro change I was iffy on/questioning was turning the antilarge fire damage gyros(brimstone guns) into flamer /flying irondrake type units. I am wondering what CA's reasoning was behind this. Like did they think dwarf too good against large with those gyros? Did they think no one would use the goblin hewer short range anti large if those gyros were still a flying option against large?

    I like the change it makes them more survivable as a unit but also makes it possible to diminish their value generation potential because the health is more spread out across the models. (makes me wonder how they deal with Bjuna now) but overall I think that they are now something that can be taken as a competitive pick and not a vanity tool that needs to be constantly baby sat

    As someone skeptical: From a power and gameplay perspective, the gyrocopter change has been better than I expected.
    From a feel point of view, I'm never going to fully get over how weird it is that the anti-crowd version and anti-single entity version switched roles.

      The dwarfs have high leadership so the roar isn't as effective.
      If used as a flying SE it would completely depend on the matchups and the control of the player.

    I never used gyrocopters cause they weren’t worth it. Now they are, and i use them.

    I dunno, in past experiences they were pretty underwhelming. Now they can actually pull their weight in a fight, at least the flamethrower ones.

    The multi model change was fine but the balancing is terrible; steam is always the best by a wide margin, brimstone are useless, and bombers are meh.

    The ranged capabilities of the Gyrocopters are still underwhelming, but I could totally see someone making the argument that their utility makes up for it now.

      I don't understand why people say that... One unit of gyros can outduel any archer unit of similar cost by big margin from my experience... How better the shooting should be for how relatively cheap they're?

      @@kubka4 You already mentioned tne core problem I see with the Gyrocopters multiple times in that short comment of yours.
      They are considered a low tier semi-trash unit, when they absolutely shouldn't be!
      Surprisingly many Dwarf units suffer from this problem. Dwarf artillery is in a similar role. Underwhelming, but cheap and therefore cost-effective.
      The Dwarf roster should be more than a collection of mediocre units that work well on a low budget.

      @@kubka4 Yeah, I think that sums it up.
      The Dwarves literally invented engineering.
      Yet almost all of their engineering feats are only "cost effective", but hardly ever actually great.

    poor cathay, it's such in a bad spot in competitive rn. Decent-good in land battle but extremely bad in the real competitive mode: dominion.
    Hope Monkey King dlc/patch will give Cathay a decent rise

      Agreed, everyone seems to hate my favorite faction. I rarely see them win, especially since they're shown far less to begin with.

      I follow Turin (bet you know him) and i always watch his competitive tournaments/cast.
      Basically nobody plays Cathay, and whenever some gigachad uses it(almost never, Sadge), it's a loss 😭.
      I still can't understand why tf the balance team randomly decided to nerf the armor for one of the only good units in competitive for Cathay, the jade warriors/crossbowmen. Cathay already had negative wr % before that patch, and now it's even worse 💀.
      And meanwhile there is Kislev with 70+%wr even after """"nerfs""""...
      Bruh..
      Poor cathay. I rly hope monkey king dlc will rise this beautiful faction

      @@RYUcaEU Yeah, I definitely know him, haha. Ever since he switched to Dom-only (among other things he said/did), I stopped watching him, though. That sucks that it seems like things re even worse! At least in LB they could shine, but with Dom's weird gimmick there's no use stacking harmony and benefiting from now even more mediocre stats...

      @@ladyfyreblood6550 he switched to dom only because it's considered the "real competitive mode" by community and it's preferred in terms of skill&competition by most of players. Even the official CA tournament was dominion and the official sponsored caster was Turin.
      So yeah.. dom is the competitive.
      And sadly yes, Cathay is good in land battle because it can shine there and you can actually properly use the armony. But holy shit in dominion is such a sufference 😭💀. extremely slow units, very poor infantry choice (they dont even have anti-infantry/shock-damage dealer), no horse archers, no shock cavalry, no monstrous cavalry or monstrous infantry, no fast flank units (like dogs/hounds/etc).. They're simply bad and too hard in this mode.
      What we know, is that CA actually loves Cathay and they told us they wanna push for Asia, because there the market is insanely big and asian players love Cathay idd. So we can actually expect some good love for next Cathay's DLC.
      Hope the final roster will be insanely cool and good, because it has insane potential in terms of content.

      @RYUcaEU Yeah, I know about the Domination love. I still think it was a bad choice (Land Battle with single cap is much better than the vanishing of troops to heal and summoning reinforcements stuff), and I haven't watched any real tournaments since, well, years. I was disappointed Turin switched to Dom majority, but I unsubscribed when he strung us along for 6 months promising us "I would never abandon Land Battles, there's more coming!" for 6 months while his comments were full of "A single land battle please, my lord...?" That turned me off him big time.
      Yeah, Cathay is in a huge mess right now. Some of its stuff is cool, but it's really just not a viable faction for most match-ups and people *hate* when the opponent "boxes" as if the Dawi never did that for years before Cathay existed... 😒

      Imagine actually being hit by a steam projectile though. That'd hurt! Might even set you on fire, or cook you alive in your plate!
