How do you sharpen a curved die?

you can, because it is only the hole edge in which the punch plunges which needs edge treatment, ie to neaten any scratches/ bumps, but as this is a complex geometry, need a 5 axis machine to sharpen it, best to use the tooling the factory already has, as they made it in the first place, and would also provide shimming required, as some height would be lost during shaping, so this compensates for it, without changing punch data in the program.

You cannot sharpen this tooling option, this would have to be done a the factory.
