Never forget when I was raising my step Granddaughter and she was about 7yrs old. Came back from school in tears as she had a note that said she threw a snowball at another kid. I already knew about this as I got a call from a friend at the school who said a few kids were throwing snowballs at kids and those bullies never got into trouble. So I told her to stay in her winter clothes and I got my jacket on and walked outside with her behind. As soon as I could I picked up some snow and got her in about the stomach with a snowball. The fight was on. That was the only hit I scored and she just destroyed me. Always had so much fun with her as she was so very intelligent and respectful. That was in 2007. Great memories...hope she smiles thinking about all the fun times. Kids are Amazing.

I think his behavior would have been different if the kid had been entitled and just ran away or refused to take responsibility. I think the kids behavior of being responsible and really sorry for it and immediately owning up to his mistake and speaking to the person he hurt himself would cause most adults to behave like this and be patient and forgiving with the kid. But I do know just as many adults would have flipped out and been really angry over it no matter how the kid behaved. And I think it's just a societal problem.

I do. A nice young man came to my door last week with $7 asking me if he could borrow my lawn mower. He was maybe 16 years old. He wanted to make his lawn look nice for his mother before she came home, as his mower was broken. No only did not take his money, I fixed his mower, showed him what to if it fails again, and we ended up mowing his lawn together. He wasn't sure what he was doing. I showed him exactly how to make his rows and make nice clean lines. After, he thanked me and asked again if I wanted his money. I asked him how much he could give me. He told me that he only had $7, but he could get more when his mother got home. I told him to keep it, and order his mom take-out so she didn't have to cook when she got home. He asked me why I was being so nice to him, and I replied, "when you do someone a favor expecting to profit, you're not being nice, you're doing business. That's not how I treat my neighbors". He almost cried. I topped off the fuel in his lawnmower and told him to knock on my door if he ever needs my help with anything.
Good men do still exist. It's rare, be were out there still.

Honestly, being polite has nothing to do with where you're from. It has to do how you're raised. If your parents raise you to be polite, it doesn't matter where you're from. You can change your surroundings and that is the biggest issue with certain communities. Right now is all they do is look for somebody to blame instead of looking at, what can I do to make the environment that I'm in better? If more people would look at the world that they're in and go. What can I do to make this place better tomorrow? But instead people wanna go who can I blame so that tomorrow I may get a little bit of money. So, if people would start taking accountability for their own actions and start taking charge of their life instead of looking to blame somebody for everything that goes wrong in their life. You could literally change a city like Chicago. In just a few short years from one of the biggest hill holes on earth with 1 of the highest murder rates around and the lowest life expectancy of black men to a modern metropolis, where people are looking to move there instead of move away from there. But because people that live in Chicago don't want to be accountable for their own actions. It is just going to keep Union worse until they elect. Some city officials who decide that enough is enough and that they're going to. Put their foot down and start arresting everybody for any little crime. They do and put him in prison for years. And the once they start doing that. You guys are gonna start having even less. Oh city than he did before so like I said before. A city official leave come in and start arresting everybody. You need to take responsibility for your own actions and for the actions of the children you raised and start changing how you raise your children so that they themselves can start changing the environment around ourselves
