I can never do bantu not on a wet base 😂 my curls fight with the structure it’s tryna form and noooo. I ALWAYS have to do it on stretched , blown out hair 🙄 it’s so time consuming.

Brennan J twist in smaller sections. Leave in for 6 hours or more then untwist and unravel the twists of hair then pick it out

I can't stand bantu knots, too difficult to try and deal with. Especially since I have 4c hair. So I try to keep my hair in braids or twist outs. Hair been growing a lot faster that way

I’m really glad I subscribed to him because he actually knows what he’s talking about when he does hair videos. I’ve tried several of his methods for hair growth and curl enhancing routines and they’ve actually worked for me. I recommend him 10/10 to anyone who needs advice for hair growth or just their natural hair in general because so fat he’s been the best.
I totally agree! My hair isn't at his great stage (just yet) but I am following along with the hair routines so I can at least give my hair a chance to keep growing.
All the videos I’ve seen on Bantu knots, they twisted their hair around their finger as opposed to a two strand twist. I guess it still has the same results tho, as far as I can tell lol. But you should try it again, with different parting and separate the finished curls more, just a thought, might make them look more natural type 3 texture

I hate doing Bantu Knots, because I could never get the right volume and I legit also look like I'm balding in the middle of my hair.
I may try them out has my hair grows out.. But as of right now, I'll stick to my go to, twist outs.

I have my hair in singles, and last night I got them braided back and they’re tight asf so every time he said “wtf is this” I would laugh and my head would hurt so fucking bad 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I have done this style and had a lot of trial and error. So I can speak from experience, the first 2 or 3 times mines looked just like this, but to change that you need to 1. Spread the number of Bantus evenly all over your head. (Lisa Simpson) 2. Make sure they are sticking up but don’t roll incredibly tight (use gel). 3. When they dry, finger separate ALL of it , don’t leave big chunky curls. 4. pick the roots out a lot a lot. And you can use a head band to hold it up if you need.

Well if u have 2 strand twists i and u have his hair texture than thts fine because u should almost have the same as bantu knots as long as they are and curly but i use bantu knots because it gives a tighter curl. 2 strand twist may work but u may just need really tiny sections and tighter twists but they basically work the same depending on how tiny and tight u tie the bantu knot and 2 strand twist. What he may have done wrong in the video was he didnt tie them tight enough. It should be where u can barley move it but if thts to tight u can loosen it. Big bantu knots can work but make sure they are tight enough. The most u have to wait is 6 hours and then u can take them out.
Apple Bite true i might need to do smaller sections. But can u tell me y the hair closer to my scalp wont dry with bantu knots i tried reducing products n doing it on dry hair n most of the time i let my hair dry for over 10 hours. When i go to unravel the bantu knots it gets fluffy n not defined. I think its something im doing wrong or the products im using. Thanks for the tips tho
Sanaa Mungu it could possibly be the products. If u dont use any product the hair may turn out to be a texture 4c at the roots. What i would suggest is tht you brush your hair to detangle it then use some styling gel but not to much because it will take longer to dry also are u using rubber bands as a way to keep it from coming undone? Also ur hair should be a reasonable length. And the way u twist them may be something to consider too. If u twist them until the hair starts to coil on its self and after u pick it out it will give off a 4c texture if the knots are tiny and tight. Also once you take them out make sure to seperate them not with a pick do tht after but u seperate them then finger twist them a little just not a lot other wise it could affect the results u want

you did two strand twist and bandtu knotted it you take a section of hair and coil it/ twist it then wrap it in the bantu knot

I have the same problem with Bantu knots. Maybe try it on stretched hair.

The reason it was a fail and play in the middle is because the placement of the Bantu knots, if you did rows then it would have turned out way better because honestly on the side those curls were nice

You did good . When you’re done twisting the two strands you just have to keep twisting tightly while making the knots then they’ll come out much tighter

I only do Bantu knots on dry stretched hair because if I do them on un stretched wet hair it’s a frizzy mess and I get hella shrinkage.

Parting is everything with Bantu knots..probably should have put a row right down the middle or just make them smaller in general.. they came out right you just have to know how to manipulate them

The reason you have a flat middle is because you did the knots at edges. They should be done in straight rows from the back to the front of your head. Also grab less hair when doing the knots, resulting in more knots and better/ curlier hair.
