Important Video, especially in a time when some "Christians" claim that Jesus is just a Prophet, who happens to be God's son. It is so sad but in the young Generation in Germany there are easily more anti-trinitarians than trinitarians.

Some give Jesus recognition he doesnt have and others, not enough! Balance is important. If Jesus were just a 'prophet' ( No6 in Islam) He could not have redeemed mankind by means of his perfect life. If though he is God himself then the words of Jesus himself are not true that "GOD loved the world so much, that he gave his only begotten Son", also he sent forth his son" ( John 3:16,17) There would not have been the supreme sacrifice of a loving father, giving up His own dear son for sinful mankind. John says it all at 1 John 4:9. Jesus is GOD'S SON.

Another proof is from the words of Jesus when he prayed in the Garden saying :
"And now, Father, glorify me in your presence with the glory I had with you before the world beginning." John 17:5
Jesus would have only asked to be glorified with the father if he himself was God. Because God will never share his glory.
""I am the LORD; that is my name! I will not yield my glory to another or my praise to idols." Isaiah 42:8
So Jesus is asking to share in God's glory which he would have known would be forbidden, unless he himself was God. This is a verse that many Jehovah's witnesses struggle with because they obviously believe Christ was a created being.

And now, Father, glorify me in your presence with the glory I had with you before the world began. (NIV)
      1. There is no question that Jesus “existed” before the world began. But did he exist literally as a person or in God’s foreknowledge, “in the mind of God?” Both Christ and the corporate be in the Body of Christ, the Church, existed in God’s foreknowledge before being alive. Christ was the “logos,” the “plan” of God from the beginning, and he became flesh only when he was conceived. It is Trinitarian bias that causes people to read an actual physical existence into this verse rather than a figurative existence in the mind of God. When 2 Timothy 1:9 says that each Christian was given grace “before the beginning of time,” no one tries to prove that we were actually alive with God back then. Everyone acknowledges that we were “in the mind of God,” i.e., in God’s foreknowledge. The same is true of Jesus Christ. His glory was “with the Father” before the world began, and in John 17:5 he prayed that it would come into manifestation.
      2. Jesus was praying that he would have the glory the Old Testament foretold, which had been in the mind of God, the Father, since before the world began, and would come into concretion. Trinitarians, however, teach that Jesus was praying about glory he had with God many years before his birth, and they assert that this proves he had access to the mind and memory of his “God nature.” However, if, as a man, Jesus “remembered” being in glory with the Father before the world began, then he would have known he was God in every sense. He would not have thought of himself as a “man” at all. If he knew he was God, he would not and could not have been “tempted in every way just as we are” because nothing he encountered would have been a “real” temptation to him. He would have had no fear and no thought of failure. There is no real sense in which Scripture could actually say he was “made like his brothers in every way” (Heb. 2:17) because he would not have been like us at all. Furthermore, Scripture says that Jesus “grew” in knowledge and wisdom. That would not really be true if Christ had access to some type of God-nature with infinite knowledge and wisdom.
We believe that John 17:5 is a great example of a verse that demonstrates the need for clear thinking concerning the doctrine of the Trinity. The verse can clearly be interpreted in a way that is honest and biblically sound, and shows that Christ was a man, but was in the foreknowledge of God as God’s plan for the salvation of mankind. It can also be used the way Trinitarians use it: to prove the Trinity. However, when it is used that way it reveals a Christ that we as Christians cannot truly identify with. We do not have a God-nature to help us when we are tempted or are in trouble or lack knowledge or wisdom. The Bible says that Christ can “sympathize with our weakness” because he was “tempted in every way, just as we are” (Heb. 4:15). The thrust of that verse is very straightforward. Because Christ was just like we are, and was tempted in every way that we are, he can sympathize with us. However, if he was not “just as we are,” then he would not be able to sympathize with us. We assert that making Christ a God-man makes it impossible to really identify with him.
      3. Jesus’ prayer in John 17 sets a wonderful example for us as Christians. He poured out his heart to his Father, “the only true God” (John 17:3), and prayed that the prophecies of the Old Testament about him would be fulfilled.

The word 'God' 'deity' 'Lord' e.t.c when applied to Christ is always assumed by 'trinitarians' to prove that Jesus is 'Almighty God' which is totally untrue! When Jesus was accused of "calling himself God" ( John 10:33)by the Jews, he rightly pointed out that God himself even called their leaders 'gods'! ( John 10:34,35); then he declared "I am the SON of God" ( John 10:36) So many times Jesus repeated this "God sent His Son" And in the Vineyard parable "The Vineyard owner sent his SON" ( Mark 12:6) Thus every time a person says "Jesus is God" they deny the words of Jesus himself! Dont listen to theologians, listen to Jesus!

  • @kiwihans100
    @kiwihans100 Год назад

The word 'God', 'Deity,' 'Lord 'is not a subjective noun but an objective noun. It can apply to more than one person and have degrees of stature & importance. ie "The LORD said unto my Lord" ( Psm 110:1) "The Word was God...I am ascending to my God" John 1:1, 20:17 two 'Theos's mentioned here!) However, 30 times the NT says "God the Father" but NEVER once 'God the Son or HS'! Hence Paul tells us "There is ONE God and FATHER of all persons." Eph 4:6. "Do not ADD anything to God's word! ( rev 22:18) Amen.

The Word 'DEITY' simply means ' a divine being'. It was first used by, not bible writers, but Augustine at least 400 years AFTER the NT was completed! The correct rendering of the Greek word 'THEOITES' IS 'divine nature' See Col 2:9 where 'trinitarian' translators have wrongly translated 'Theoites' as 'godhead' ( First used by Wycliffe in the 13th century!). Both the Father & the Son and "Christ's brothers" ( Heb 2) share 'divine nature' in the coming kingdom of God!. So we can speak of the 'deity' of Christ without assuming he is God himself!

definition of 'Deity' "A god or a goddess". Is Christ such? Yes! Does that prove he is ALMIGHTY God? No! As the 'image of God' he is also a God for it is admitted by all 'orthodox' religious scholars he is of the 'same substance' ( Homousious) as the Father! as a 'God' ( John 1:1) he ascended to HIS God! He testified "I AM ASCENDING TO MY GOD" John 20:17. True he said this while on earth, yet back in heaven he said the same thing ( Rev1:6). So we can call Jesus 'God' but call his Father 'Almighty God'! Amen

Shaking my head man, as expected you use the most common trinitarian arguments, and argumentation. Syllogism is not always bad but when you use it like this it just butchers the text completely. Too many points to address all at the same time but I will address John 1. Well what about John 1? Doesn't it say that through the word, God made everything? Well first off, it is noted by top trinitarian scholars themselves, that "the word was God" means/best translation is "what God was, the word was"(not in conflict with the phrase that the word was God at all), secondly, we have to realize in the greek, there are no capital or lowercase letters, so when it is appropriate we capitalize the first letter, since we speak english, however many modern translations in capitalizing "Word" it is made as if this word of God is a distinct person from God, while God Himself, making it seem as if God is multipersonal, which is far from the truth. Third, we must realize that John is appealing to common ancient Jewish literature, that personifies the attributes of God, things that belong to God, such as the wisdom of God in proverbs 8, in non canonical jewish writings such as the wisdom of Solomon in chapter 9 verse 10, and baruch chapter 3 verse 36. The wisdom of God, the word of God, the reason of God, the righteousness of God, the love of God, the truth of God, and so on and so forth. So these attributes of God, are God. Meaning what God is, His attributes are. Example, the love of God, is God. Meaning the love of God is patient, kind, truthful, righteous, longsuffering, just as God is. But what we must realize, is that the love of God is not a separate person from God, the love of God is with God, but the love of God is the one God HIMSELF, or what God was, the love of God was. What we also must realize is that the love of God, is an expression of God. Therefore we do not worship the love of God, we worship God because of His love. Love ITSELF is not God. It is the same with light, the Bible says in 1 John, the same author, that God is light, what God is, the light is, however God's light is an expression of God, therefore we do not praise and worship the light of God itself, we worship God, because He is light. It is the same exact thing as the word, the word of God is righteous, truth, loving, wise, just like God is, the word of God is the fullness of God's attributes, having literally, all of God's attributes, hence why Jesus is the EXACT REPRESENTATION of God's nature(Heb 1:3)but we do not worship the word of God itself. Because the word of God ITSELF is not God, nor is the word of God which was with God IN THE BEGINNING a separate person from God, if you take away God(which is impossible) there is no word at all to begin with. And the word being with God in the beginning, simply means God had His word in eternity, just like I have my word(not eternally of course), or in the simple sense that when Jesus says in Revelation 22:12 “And behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give to every one according to his work." Are we now going to worship the reward of Jesus, that is going to repay everyone according to their work, as a separate person from Jesus Himself? Of course not. This reward of Jesus, is an attribute of Jesus, justice and righteousness, having been given this authority to do so(John 5:26-30, Acts 17:30-32). No jew actually worshipped the wisdom or word of God itself, in fact the people who did worship the word of God, had pagan background, example of one namely pagan philosopher Plato, who thought that the word, the logos of God in eternity past was a separate person from God, and God Himself, which many of the church fathers who (not all but many also had pagan background) got this idea and doctrine from. What John 1 is telling us is that word, which was with God in the beginning, and is how God the Father spoke the world into existence, the very one having created the world, the word which is the plan and purpose of God, which was God Himself in the sense that what God was the word was, took on human flesh, this flesh, being the man Christ Jesus(John 1:14), whom the entire word of God, God Himself , the prophets, testify concerning of, the messiah. It would make sense that the word of God takes on human flesh namely Jesus Christ the messiah since the entire word of God testifies concerning this messiah, in whom God purposed everything. Lastly, let's not read anything into the text, or make John contradict himself, John the apostle says in John 20:31 in summarizing that his whole point in writing the book was to show us that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing we may have life in His name.

WHY A DIVINE JESUS BEST SERVES THE INTERESTS OF THEOCRATIC FASCISM
In the earliest Christian writings (Paul's letters and the Synoptic Gospels of Mark, Matthew and Luke) it's very clear that Jesus never saw himself as divine, and he most certainly never thought he was God, not in any way! Jesus talked ABOUT God in the third person, and TO God in the second person, but never did he talk, as God, in the first person.
The same holds true of the very earliest documents we have about Jesus--the letters of Paul, written in the 50s or early 60s CE. It's true that Paul believed God EXALTED Jesus to His Right Hand, meaning, that once he ascended to Heaven, God promoted him, which had a lot of appeal to Jews, with their religious history in which, time and again, a patriarch like Joseph or a prophet like Daniel, is promoted by a Pharaoh or King to become Second in Command.
By the time we get to the Synoptic Gospels (Mark, written around 70 CE and Matthew and Luke around 85 CE), Jesus is inching toward divinity, but not quite. It's only in the Gospel of John, written toward the end of the 1st Century where we see Jesus portrayed as divine, though still not quite God Himself.
What then, can we say, with any sense of likelihood, that Jesus believed he was God, or divine? Well, if he did, he sure kept it to himself most of the time, and denied it completely, at least on one occasion (Mark 10:18 and Luke 18:19)! However, all the evidence we currently possess (which is scant) points to a man who grew up within Pharisaic Judaism, became a successful healer as well as a reformer of Judaism with a gift for speaking and engaging the religious authorities of his day with considerable adroitness!
In keeping with what more than a few, objective, biblical scholars are convinced of, it's possible Jesus came to believe he was the Messiah king predicted by the Jewish prophets, but this would assume he let his popularity go to his head.
However, Jesus initially believed God had called him to lead the Jews of Palestine to repentance in order to pave the way for the Messiah to come to set up the literal, independent Jewish government, known as the "Kingdom of God," which he would live to see happen. At the peak of his popularity, when he had 1000s of people thronging to see him perform miracles, and as word of his seeming divine powers spread, so many people became convinced he must be the Messiah, Jesus may have become swept up by all the adulation.
There’s considerable attestation in the Synoptic Gospels pointing to a Jesus who didn’t mind taking advantage of the platform of popularity the Messianic hopes of the masses provided him to call the Jews to repentance with the aim of bringing about enough change that God would, upon seeing their general repentance, send a king to free them. But as time went on, Jesus saw that mission falling far short, and the hope for successful, political/national kingdom as a pipe dream!
Jesus’ messaging about the future then changes as he, ultimately, becomes convinced God was calling him to martyrdom, and that his death would be the catalyst for a movement of people repenting of sins and turning to God on an individual basis and, thus, a "kingdom" of changed hearts and lives would emerge and spread throughout the world.
Thing is, that plan was foiled when, shortly after his death, he was repeatedly seen alive again, so it didn't take his disciples very long to conclude his death and resurrection was God's plan all along to convince the Jews he was, indeed, the Expected Messiah who would, at any moment, come out of seclusion and seize the Throne of David. Then, of course, that didn't happen.
But the beauty is that, his message--that no one is beyond the Grace of God and, therefore, may become liberated from sin and know the joy of leading a life of doing good--in spite of how it has been so very misunderstood by so many for so long, has survived.
Tragically, though, there are still many today (especially in the leadership of the Neo Evangelical churches) who much prefer the view of Jesus that emerged many decades after his death, once the Jewish wing of the Jesus [is the] Messiah Movement fell apart and was replaced by the Gentile Jesus [is a] God Movement.
Unlike the Pharisaic Jews of Jesus’ day who had hoped for a literal, theocratic nation to enlighten the world, and Jesus’ ultimate hope for a “nation” of individuals to enlighten the world, the Gentile Christians hoped only for admission, after death, to a better spirit-world, and for everyone else to be condemned to eternal retribution.
It’s this last interpretation that best serves the interests of those today looking to overthrow democratic states and replace them with theocratic, fascist dictatorships, such as what American Neo Evangelicals are now actively advocating. While a Gentile version of a Warrior King to come and take over the world is certainly quite welcome among Neo Evangelicals, and they continue to promote the apocalyptic notion of an imminent “rapture” to Heaven that, eventually, results in a violent world take over, the idea that God is looking for a select few to literally conquer everyone else who are his enemies, whether on a future earth, or in a spirit world, if not both, helps exasperate the frustrations of those who already feel culturally isolated into an easily-manipulated political body, fueled by great anger which they constantly feed, in order to help them seize power.

The word 'Deity' is not an actual bible word! Nor is 'godhead'! Some 'pro trinity' translators have incorrectly translated certain greek words to further their agenda. At Col 2:9 it reads "For it is in Christ that the fullness of the godhead dwells". The greek word here is THEIOTES which in english means 'of divine nature'. Thus the emphasis is on the 'substance' of the Son NOT his 'position'! Interestingly Peter uses the same word THEIOTES in 2 Peter 1: 4 "That you may come to share in the divine nature'. Had most translations used 'godhead' here to appear to be more consistant, it would not have made sense, since the 'saints' will never be actual a part of God himself but 'Sons of God the Father and 'brothers of Christ' ( see Rom 8:16 & Heb 2:10,11). Thus Paul was showing that the prehuman son of God was 'begotten of the Father', therefore 'of the same substance' But not God himself. Footnote; It was John Wycliffe who used the word 'godhead' first in the 13th century.

@@kardiognostesministries8150 What is the literal meaning of deity?
      divine nature
A deity is a supernatural being, like a god or goddess, that is worshipped by people who believe it controls or exerts force over some aspect of the world. The word deity means "divine nature." It was coined by Saint Augustine, a theologian whose writings were very influential in the shaping of Western Christianity. This confirms that the word 'deity' is NOT a biblical word, but can apply to more than the Almighty God of the bible.

@@kardiognostesministries8150 It was Augustine who in the 4th century first used the word 'deity' which simply means 'divine nature'. The word used in the greek bible is THEOITES = 'Divine nature'. This word can apply to God, Jesus Christ, BUT alsoi to the saints who will "Share in divine nature' ( theoites) with Christ in heaven! read 2 Peter 1:4. So when people with limited knowledge and understanding of the bible see the word 'deity' and jump to the conclusion "That must mean God|". It doesnt! Because it can apply to humabs who will be with God in heaven. Hope this helps.

It cannot be 'theotes' as you say because that would mean that the saints are to become 'God'! rather than to "share in the divine nature" and thus become |Jesus "brothers" ( Heb 2:11). The 'saints' cannot become actual part of God himself, but they can attain to the state of being immortal beings the same as their "brother" Christ".

'The longer the beard, the wiser the person'? No. The son was with the father in heavan and the came to earth, Oh! I should let Jesus himself explain! " God, SENT FORTH his only begotten son". Trinitarians deny this statement. Yet Jesus stated it over 10 times in John's gospel. At John `13:16 Jesus reasoned "A slave is not greater than his master, NOR IS ONE THAT IS SENT FORTH GREATER THAN THE ONE THAT SENT HIM." Jesus constantly declared that "He did nothing of his own initiative" ( John 5:30). Trinitarians cannot play the 'incarnation' card either because when God 'sent forth His son' He was still in Heavan! Bible truth!

I'm sick of hearing about the ridiculous idea of the trinity. The bible does not teach it , in fact you won't even find the word in the bible, not once! & the only verse which comes close to sounding like the trinity is spurious, ie. put in by the tranlaters. The trinity idea was pushed by bishops at the council of Nicea. & later particularly by the so called st athanacius. Who with his fanatics bullied people into believing it. & 1500 years later we are still being ear bashed about it .the churches no doubt trying to explain its gobbledegook reasons to people who should know better! The churches should reject the idea altogether, but there too much ego & political fallout involved, so they won't but individuals are not bound to believe it & no surprise, they will again find freedom in christ! There must have been something in the water or wine at the time of the council of bishops at the time they come up with this idea & got it sooo wrong! They would have been better in confirming the apostles creed which clearly states that Jesus was the begotten SON of God. Ie his son not God himself! Of course God wanted a son the same as humans want children! & have characters that are similar to their parents but our children are individuals not the same person!
The angels are called God in the bible, thy appeared to men & women in the bible. Not that they were God literally but they bore the name of God & therefore represented God to the human beings. Similar with Jesus ,more than anyone he has & does represent God & bears his name as his Son.so that God manifestation, 1stly the angels, then by his Son, then followed by a multitude of believers will bear Gods name in the Kingdom of God set up soon by Jesus, on earth with Jesus as king of kings. Then the truth of the bible will enlighten populations of the earth instead of the darkness of church dogma & tradition!
The so called mystery about God is no longer a mystery. It was answered in doctrines & events that are recorded in the new testament & that was not whether jesus was God because the apostles never believed it or taught that, it was to do with under what terms would people be forgiven & would it be the same for Jews & gentiles!

If one is word because he obeys commands
that is not same with someone as word who commands you some words to do something.
