- How to remove the glove box on an Amarok Volkswagen to replace the resistor for the blower fan. After blower fan only works on high speed (speeds 1, 2 and 3 would not function only 4) I ordered resistor and replaced resistor on the blower fan so it all now fully functions. This shows how I discovered how to remove the glovebox to access the blower motor under the dash and the resistor. 15 minute job if it goes fairly smoothly.
Thanks for the instructions on how to remove the glove box. I searched far and wide to figure this out and stumbled upon your video. Much appreciated.
Thanks Morgan, your instructions were a great help. To those like me, who cursed VW for using an obscure 5.5mm bolt. I found that a 7/32" socket does the trick.
Did the trick perfectly, thanks for doing the clip. It also works without the resister in but only on top fan speed.
The part number from VW is pa66gb20gf10 and $175AUD
Thanks, Great help
Sorted it mate! Thankyou!
It is not a seliniod, it is resistors, with different values.
Thanks. This will help me.
Hey, where did you grab the resistor from? Trying to search around online and can't find one that matches what I assume is the OEM number on the black holder....
I visit my VW dealer and ask for a new resistor blower for my 2012 Amaroc and he said they dont sel lit seperate from the blower......
When i ask what can i do....He ask me 350 eur for the blower and the sensor........
